gsa ba acting 2020 scratch festival
TRANSCRIPT
WELCOMECurator’s Note: Grainne Byrne‘Scratch’ is about sharing a brand new idea in front of an audience and so gathering feedback which then strengthens and shapes the project going forward.
Welcome to the first ever GSA BA Acting (Hons) Scratch Festival which, due to COVID-19, is being delivered entirely online. The Festival gives the 2020 graduating students the opportunity to work on their own material, either as solo artists or in virtual groups, and to develop exciting projects that could have a life beyond GSA. Here we present these early-stage excerpts of work which include the Spoken Word, play writing, short film and even an interactive web programme where you choose your own story option for a unique experience.
This is the final project for these students and perhaps some of these little acorns will put down their roots.
“Dreams are the seedlings of realities.” James Allen
Enjoy!
In this virtual programme you will find all the links needed to tune in during the Scratch Festival. For each showing time there will be a 20 minute allowance for latecomers, after which time the video will be made unavailable until its next showing. Live readings will start on time, latecomers can be admitted up to 5 minutes after the showing begins. After the festival closes, on Saturday 6th June all content will be rereleased at 10am and you can continue to use these links to rewatch the prerecorded content again and again!
