Who can apply?

Resident of Alberta for one (1) year prior to the start ofyour program.

Next stepsSelection processYour application will be reviewed by an AHS Selection Committee and rated on a standard scale to ensure a fair and impartial review.

Criteria will include:

• Potential to fit the needs of AHS.

• Area of study.

• Identified desired communities to work in,within Northern Alberta.

• Heritage (a minimum of $10,000 is designateto support Indigenous applicants).

• Quality of résumé

• Quality of responses within the applicationform and compatibility with AHS vision,mission, and values.

• Any additional criteria deemed appropriateby AHS and NADC.

Notification of application statusYou will be notified via e-mail of your application status as soon as a decision is made. If you are successful, you will receive further instructions. The timeline for notifying all applicants depends on volume of applications received.

Publication of award recipientsWhile each application is treated in a confidential manner, as a successful applicant, you agree to have your name shared within AHS.

Important: Recipients of this bursary are obligated to obtain a position within AHS that meets the Return of Service Agreement. Receipt of the award is not an offer of employment.
