Anyone’s first time at a chiropractors office could seem like a scary experi-ence. If you don’t know what you are headed into, you might be skeptical. But after stepping one foot into Dr. Scot Gircsis’s office, you will feel right at home.

Dr. Scot’s new office in Grove City is located at 2600 Columbus St. and he is always welcoming new patients. He special-izes in personal injury and workers’ compen-sation as well as sports rehabilitation. After 17 years in business, he en-courages everyone to try chiropractic care.

“I am just like a doctor; I can do everything that they can do. I can be your primary care physician,” Gircsis said.

The atmosphere of his office is comfortable and friendly and every-one who comes in feels like part of the family. A quick stop in the waiting room is followed by time on their state of the art tables. After that, each patient receives personal-ized treatment from Dr. Scot.

Angie Inks, who has been his office assistant

for seven years, also praises the work of Dr. Scot and of chiropractors.

“There are many ben-efits to using a chiroprac-tor. We can treat almost any ailment and we have patients of all ages,” said Fearing

Angie assists with different exercises that are done on exercise

balls. She also does all the scheduling and of-fice management for Dr. Scot. The duo makes an efficient, fun-loving team and helps every visit to the office to be effective for every patient.

Dr. Scot has another lo-cation at 1367 Georgesville Road in Columbus. The

Grove City location is open on Tuesdays and Thurs-days and by appointment on Saturdays. To schedule an appointment, call the Grove City office at (614)-539-8200 or the Columbus office at (614) 274-7500. Visit www.drscot.net or email [email protected] for more information.

SPOTLIGHT ON BUSINESS

Dr. Scot Chiropractic welcomes new patients

Dr. Scot works with a patient at his office at 1367 Georgesville Road.

Nothing says “spring” more beautifully than daffodils, crocus, hyacinths and other bulbs that blossom at this time of the year.

So start planning for spring 2014 — now.

Take photos of your borders and beds during the next few weeks. Use the photos as a guide for filling bare places with bulbs this fall. Refer to them to avoid digging into bulbs when planting new flowers, shrubs and trees.

As for planting the spring garden, don’t rush. Tomatoes and peppers are tropical plants that resent cold soil almost as much as they do frost. Wait until about mid-May, generally considered frost-free in central Ohio.

Cool season crops, however, such as cabbage, lettuce, potatoes, won’t mind nippy air. Check soil conditions before planting. Take a handful of garden soil and gently squeeze it into a ball. Drop the ball on the ground. If it crumbles, dig in. If not, go tune the lawn mower, clean tools, prune off broken and dead wood from shrubs, and plant pansies in containers for a quick color fix.
