on a first come, first served basis
BCC ID valid for current
semester is necessary to request
a Group Study Room
To request a small Group Study Room you will need two to six authorized userspresent
To request a large Group Study Room you will need seven to ten authorized userspresent
Group Rooms must never be left unattended
Advance Scheduling Options
A limited number of rooms may be scheduled for use up to 7 days in advance, for a
maximum of 3 hours per day. Your group may be able to extend this limit during times of
low demand by asking at the Information Desk at the end of your initial reservation.
No Advance Reservations will be accepted the week prior to and during the week offinal exams
there is a fifteen-minute grace period on reservations. If the group isnot present within the grace period, the reservation is invalidatedand the room may be assigned to another group
THE LIBRARY MAY LIMIT OR REFUSE ACCESS TO INDIVIDUALS OR
GROUPS
THAT FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE GROUP STUDY GUIDELINES
Food and Drinks Prohibited
Unattended personal items left in room may be taken to Bronx Community College Public Safety

Group Study Rooms Policy

Priority is given to BCC students and faculty on a first come, first served basis
If a member or members of the group have a BCC ID, they qualify for the priority treatment.
BCC ID valid for current semester necessary to request a Group Study Room
If a BCC faculty member does not have a current sticker, if they are listed as a BCC faculty member in
ALEPH their request will be honored (if they are not, they should be referred to the ID room to obtain their
sticker). If the group consists of BCC qualified users working with students or faculty from another college,
they will be permitted to use the room even though some of the members of the group will not have a BCC
ID (as indicated below, they will be asked to show ID and to sign the form).
