Congestion: Navkar knows that road congestions are a part of the logistics

movement. Nhava Sheva port also inevitably faces congestion during

monsoons or during strikes. Therefore, to reduce the effects of congestion at

the Nhava Sheva port and handle the EXIM cargo from Industrial belt of Surat /

Empty Yards & M&R: Navkar ICD Tumb has created an empty storage yard

outside its ICD and another one nearby. We can take care of all empty

container storage, maintenance and repair requirements of any container line.

Hub and Spoke: A huge amount of cargoes for the shipping lines is routed into

the nearby industrial areas. Hence, Navkar introduced the “hub and spoke”

concept for shippers whereby they could drop off their exports at our ICD

leaving the stuffing or buffering and port movement to Navkar. This will not only

save time but also give a substantial cost saving for the shippers.

• Navkar will move your import from Nhava

Sheva to ICD Tumb by road. You can clear

your cargo at ICD Tumb. We shall take the

cleared laden container to your factory, and

after destuffing of container, return empty box

to Shipping Line.

Exports at ICD Tumb • Shippers are free to cart cargos into ICD

Tumb. Navkar will pick up empty containers

of shipping line and after stuffing, LEO at ICD

Tumb will move it to Nhava Sheva Port or

Hazira port.

• For Factory-stuffing, Navkar can transport

empty container from Shipping Line Depot to

Factory, and after stuffing, the laden excise-

sealed box can obtain LEO at ICD Tumb and

be moved to Nhava Sheva port or Hazira port

by Navkar.
