Shahwar Group of Schools & Colleges started its newsession with the celebration of the achievements ofprevious session.It was 24th of April when AnnualPrize Distribution Ceremony was arranged inMultan Arts Council.The renowned personalitiesof Multan were invited to grace the occasion Mr.M.Afzal Javed (E.D.O Education) was the mainchief guest. Among the guest of honors therewere Ms. Aneela Mubashir (Director of AbdulMonim Research Foundation & Teachers Training

institute), Mr. Rao Shahid Mehmood (Secretary)B.I.S.E), Mr. Muhammad Ali Wasti ( Resident

Director MultanArts Council), Mr.Abdul Majeed KhanKhatak (President Private Schools Org. Pb), Mr.

Muhammad Islam Shad (General Secretary Private SchoolOrg. Pb. and Prof. Ms. Uzma Abrar (Chairperson Durr-e-Shahwar Edu. Society)It was a great event that was celebratedin splendid way. Students of all branches prepared interestingdramas, folk songs, Rhymes & Performance on National Songs.Among all presentations, audience appreciated the performanceon jungle poem (Foundation branch Jalilabad, performance on asong “ Mehndi lagay gi saari raat ” (Foundation branch BosanRoad) performance on National song (Boys branch) andperformance on welcome song by girls branch. There was a lotof gathering and they all appreciated the students a lot. At theend Chief guests distributed prizes, gifts and certificates.They also expressed their feelings in marvellous way.

Labour Day

Special assemblies are arranged whenever there is anyspecial event. Students of Shahwar FoundationGulgasht Campus prepared special presentation on 1st May tocelebrate Through this presentation, TheStudents gave a special message to everyone that no worker isinferior who works to earn money honestly. These were thestudents of three class who acted marvellously. They also deliveredspeeches to convey their message in a fruitful way.Through thispresentation, they gave a special message to everyone that noworker is inferior who works to earn money honestly. Class Decoration Competition

Everyone wants to sit in beautiful surrounding especially the children love to decorate their class room.Teachers prepared informative charts and students decorated them with their lovely paintings. It was the firstweek of May when class decoration competition was announced in all branches of SGSC, Everyone took partin this competition excitedly. Mr. Salman Khan (The Director Academics) visited all branches andannounced grades.Students were happy to see their changed colorful environment.

The sweetest sounds to mortals given........ As heard in mother. Amother’s love is unconditional.It’s very difficult to describe Mother’sfeelings for her children. Mother’s job is not easy, she has to make a lot ofsacrifices. Every year there is a day celebrated when children expresstheir feelings of love in different ways.This day was celebrated in allbranches of SGSC with great vigour. Special assemblies werearranged.Abdul Hseeb, Shozeb, Ayesha, Asawir Fatima &Sohaib Zubair delivered speeches, wrote messages totheir mothers and prepared cards as well.

Art Competition Notebook Maintenance Competition

To motivate the students to keep their notebooksneat& clean, a competition was held in ShahwarModel branch on 31 st May 2010. This competitionwas also arranged in foundation branch.

Movie Show

On 14 th May 2010 students of bothfoundation branches went to Modelbranch to have an Art Competition.Itwas among the students of class oneto five.A particular theme was givento each class. This was a great chancefor the students to exhibit their artisticskills. The students who won Firstprize were LaibaAlvi, Maida, FatimaAli,Abdul Haseeb &Abdul Sami.

SGSC always strives hard to provide quality education and in this waycreates different oppertunities for the students to learn in an interesting way. Amovie show was arranged by the boys branch in Multan Arts Council. Studentswere invited with their friends and parents, to watch a historical movie “ The lionof the desert ” In this film a Muslim leader, a teacher fought bravely against thepowerful enemy for the freedom of his nation. After a teacher fought bravelyagainst the powerful enemy for the freedom of his nation. After watching thismovie, students learned the importance of liberty. At the end of movie a worksheetwas filled by the students and they explained what they learned. The students weregiven marks for it. Everybody appreciated it and said that this type of opportunitiesof learning should be given to the students in future as well.

As it was the begining of summer, the studentsof boys branch class 9 to 10 planned a trip toJinnah Park to enjoy with their friendsbefore going on summer vacation.Students spend almost fivehours over there andenjoyed a lot. After thatcame back in avery happymood.

A Trip to Jinnah Park

Free Classes of 1st year were statrted on 3 May 2010in Shahwar College for boys. Studets from different

schools of Multan got registered free classes and benefited.These free classes remained for three months. Students

praticipated in these classes and gained knowledge. Lecturers ofShahwar College also tried their best to make these classes successful.

Teachers play a vital role to build up a Character of the students. To polish theskills of teacher and update their knowledge, SGSC arranged training ondifferent topics ie. Lesson planning, free hand Sketching, writing, computeretc. These trainings were arrange in model branch from 11-25 June 2010.Teachers took an active part in all those activities. The trainers were Mr. ZubairAhmad (I.M.S Dep. BZU) & Mrs. Azra Shahid (Chair person child Art & craftsociety). Another training was arranged by Ms. Aneela Mubashir (Director ofAbdul Monim Research Foundation & Teachers Training institute).

Teacher Training Program

Learn with FunIn model branch summer camp was arranged for the students of 8th to 10 classfrom 11 - 30 June 2010. In Foundation branches “ Learn with Fun ” Programwas arranged from 15 June - 30 July 2010. Various classes i.e Summervacation homework completion, Computer class, Spoken class, Music,Art andMovie Show etc. It was a great opportunity for the students to learn with fun.
