Jack OLantern

Jack was a blacksmith, he was the greatest

craftsperson in the world. When he died, he

was not allowed in to Heaven, because of his

pride. So he went to the gates of Hell, but the

devil would not let him in. As the gates were

closing behind him, his scooped up a burning

lump of coal in the turnip he was eating.

From that day on, he was wondered the earth,

not good enough for heaven nor evil enough

for hell. He carries the turnip lantern to lighthis way, non forever as Jack of the Lantern or
