1997 Puerto Rican Jam!: Rethinking Colonialism and Nationalism. Minnesota: Minnesota University Press- This is an anthology I co-edited (with Frances Negrón). The Puerto Rican problematic has been couched traditionally between two polarized discourses, namely, colonial and nationalist. This dichotomy has impeded a more complex rethinking of subjects concerning identity, gender, migration, sexual politics, political-economy and the island's political status. Our anthology is an attempt to create
