    Grooming and Uniform StandardThe issue of dress code ethics in the hotel cannot be overemphasised. We haveforgotten about grooming and hence have now decided to dress in a way and manner that does not conform to the 5* standard we operate on. Hence, the following

    should be strictly adhered to.1. Wearing of coloured weavon, wig or colouring our natural hair is not

    acceptable.2. Long hair should be tied at the back or worn up and secured, no loose

    ends3. Afro hair style and gelly look is not accepted.4. There should be no coloured hair accessories, it should be simple smallblack or brown.5. Wearing of harsh or offensive perfume or body spray is not accepted.6. Long and dangling earrings or chain is not allowed, it should by small

    or dotted.7. No wearing of low waist trouser and shirt must be properly tucked in.8. Wearing of hilly shoes, fancy ring apart from wedding ring is not allowed.9. Chewing of gum when on duty is not allowed.

    10. Holding of mobile phone or answering of calls is an offence.11. Men should keep their moustache and beard clean and neatly trimmed.12. Fingernails should be kept clean and neatly trimmed/ manicured, long nails, strong and bright colours of nail polish is not allowed.13. Wear your name tag on the top left-hand side of your uniform at all times when on duty14. Shoe should conform to brand standard15. Dress professionally and discreetly16. Jeans and denim apparel are not allowed17. Ensure pockets are not stuffed with bulky and visible miscellaneous items (e.g. key chains, cigarettes)18. You are not to carry personal pagers or mobile phone whilst on duty (Noanswering of calls while on duty)19. No low cut blouses or dresses20. Shirts should be no shorter than 10cms above the knee21. Avoid using strong cologne, after shave or perfume22. Ensure that breath is always fresh. Use mouth wash/spray after eating or

    smoking23. Fingernails should be kept clean and neatly trimmed/manicured. Gentlemen should not have long nails. Ladies should not use strong and bright colours of nail polish.24. Ladies should wear make up of subtle colours and avoid excessive application25. No obvious hair colouring streaking or gelled look is acceptable26. Men s hair should be well trimmed and short (above collar and off the ears)

    27. Long hair should be tied back or worn up and secured with no loose ends.Hair accessories should be simple, small, black or brown28. Shave prior to reporting to work daily29. Keep moustache and beard clean, thin and neatly trimmed30. Use only properly shined, well maintained black or brown leather shoes31. Running shoes, track shoes, moccasins, sneakers, sandals, boots or slippers are not allowed at any time on Hotel premises.32. Socks must be of matching dark colour or black33. Only dark coloured court-shoes are allowed34. Heels must be between 3.5 & 5.5cms35. Open-toed shoes and mules are not allowed36. Stockings should be neutral or skin tone or black where appropriate (25denier maximum)37. All forms of jewellery should be conservative. Colourful/fanciful designed jewellery is not allowed.38. A maximum of one ring on each hand may be worn. It should not be too or

    nate or elevated (for safety reasons)39. Necklaces should not be visible40. Ankle chains, bangles, wrist chains are not permitted41. Nose studs or any other facial piercing are not permitted42. Ladies should wear only one earring in each ear. Earrings should be small studs either of gold, silver or pearl. Dangling earrings or hoops are not allowed.43. Gentlemen are not allowed to wear earrings while on duty.44. Watches should not be brightly coloured, large or gimmicky.

    Management has decided that henceforth any erring member of staff will be adequately punished. Be guided
