CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
Grinding Survey has been done in order to
achieve the following objectives for the
grinding circuit:
Gold distribution through each size
friction.
Transfer size, calculate the P80 for
cyclone, and all Mills
INTRODUCTION
Grinding survey has been done in 20th of June 2015
for 4 hours and samples collected from different
spots:
B.M.1 and B.M.2 discharge Cyclone feed &
Cyclone O/F &Cyclone U/F to B.M.1 and Cyclone
U/F to B.M.2

By collecting these samples we can achieve the
survey objectives
EXPERIMENTAL WORKS
Samples collecting Technique
CV02: 1M belt cut from conveyor
CV03: 1 Drum from the Pebble Crusher
Feed shut about 50 Kg
CV04 1 Drum from the Pebble Crusher
Discharge shut about 50 Kg

B.M Discharge: 1L every 30 min for 4 hours,
sample were collected from normal point of BM
discharge sample SG
Cyclone O/F: 1L every 30 min for 4 hours,
samples were collected from trush Sc. Feed Box.
Cyclone U/F: 1L every 30 min for 4 hr, sample
were collected from BM feed hopper
SAG Discharge: 1L every 30 min for 4 hr samples were
collected from normal point of SAG Discharge sample

Cyclone Feed: 1L every 30 min for 4 hr sample were
collected by opening the cyclone Feed valve slowly so
the cyclone to give only U/F (This U/F is representative
for the cyclone Feed.

FINDINGS
BM1&2 discharge looks similar same applies to their feed

Poor performance of p crusher since P80=CV03,Also crusher P80=35mm which is above the target of 25mm

Cyclone P80 =116µ

CONCLUSIONS
P80 of cyclone O/F =106μ and the result coming from survey is 116μ which is very close to target and good indication about cyclone performance.
RECOMMENDATION
Therefore, Water balance of grinding circuit need
some adjustment in order to decrease % Solids of O/F
to be 50% by adjust cyclone feed to 68% Solids and
U/F to 76% solids.
In order to improve our grinding efficiency we need to
adjust Cyclone recycle load to increase separation
process across cyclone.
RECOMMENDATION CONT…
Adjust required %Solids across cyclone
streams to drop recycle load to required
target.
Daily adjustment of the pebble crusher gap.
