• Freshmen and Sophomores = 7 classes • Juniors = 6 classes minimum• Seniors= 5 classes minimum

College Entrance Requirements

Beyond GHS graduation requirements, Oregon universities require:

• Mathematics--3 credits (Algebra 2 or higher)• World Language—2 credits in same language• Additional Science is also highly recommended• 16 academic credits in core subject areas

• “C” average for core courses

Expect Seven!

Be prepared for a significant change in scheduling options. Due to budget cuts and fewer teachers, expect to take seven classes next year.

There is a special place on the top right of the form which allows you to request an 8th class, but expect seven.

• Seniors add Health (one semester)

Step 1. Choose either IB/Honors English for the entire year OR choose 2 semesters of regular English.

Step 2. If you choose IB/Honors, you need English teacher’s signature.

• Math Labs are offered in Algebra I and Geometry. Get extra help and earn credit!
