IALM Upcoming Monographs

The activities of the IALM Personal Damage in Civil Liabili-ty Working Group, initiated with the International Closed Meeting held in Padova, June 2014, and resulting in the publi-cation of two Guidelines in the International Journal of Legal Medicine, namely the “Padova Charter on personal injury and damage under civil-tort law: Medico-legal guidelines on methods of ascertainment and criteria of evaluation” and the “Whiplash-Asso-ciated Disorders: Clinical and Medico-legal guidelines on the methods of ascertainment”, will soon give rise to a further Monograph to be published by Springer and entitled “Personal Injury and Damage Ascertainment. International State of the Art Guidelines”, the prepress proofs of which are currently being finalized.!Furthermore, two additional Monographs are currently in the process of being prepared under the auspices of the Academy. The first one will be dedicated to “P5 Medicine and Justice”, ad-dressing the new idea and vision of the Bio-Medicolegal Sci-ences in accordance with the paradigmatic approach of Per-sonalized Medicine, towards the attainment of a novel bio-molecular evidence and unity, in the promotion of a final goal, that of Personalized Justice. "Secondly, as a logical continuation of the efforts of the afore-mentioned IALM Working Group on Personal Damage, a Monograph dedicated to “Criteria of Evaluation of Personal Injury and Damage” is undergoing preparation.!

IALM - WAML Ongoing Collaboration

The collaboration between the International Academy of Legal Medicine and the World Associa-tion of Medical Law (WAML), inaugurated on the occasion of the 2015 IALM Congress in Dubai, is certainly proving to be both an effective and promising one. Noguchi and two esteemed Colleagues,

namely Andre G. Dias Pereira and Victor W. Weedn, current President of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS). Fur-thermore, IALM has been invited to partic-ipate in the 22nd Annual WAML World Con-gress (Los Angeles, 7th- 11th of August, 2016). All of the related information can be found by clicking here.!

!History of the Medicolegal Autopsy

On the occasion of the 2015 IALM Congress in Dubai, Prof. S.D.
