CONCERT IN THE GARDEN 6-8pm. Fun, interactive kids activities begin at 5pm. Join us for live music, food and fun amidst the beauty of our gardens. Enjoy dinner from the food truck or bring a picnic dinner to enjoy on the lawn. Our traditional complimentary cake and lemonade service starts at 6pm along with the music. Free. CELEBRATE HONEY BEE DAY 10am-noon. Where would we be without the honey bee? Celebrate this wondrous insect with the Northern Virginia Beekeepers Association. Meet a beekeeper, see inside a beehive, learn a bee dance, do a bee scavenger hunt, learn how bees are important to our food supply and get tips on how you can help honey bees. Free.

Getaway-Hershey Gardens & High Glen, Hershey, PA (16-Adult) Includes motor coach, admission and lunch. Visit Hershey, Pennsylvania to explore Hershey Gardens. Enjoy the expansive rose garden, whimsical children’s garden, butterfly house and conifer collection. Then head to Frederick, Maryland to tour the private High Glen estate gardens. The cultivated perennial, annual and edible gardens, including the Japanese garden, Mediterranean garden, English cottage garden and restored natural areas span 10 acres. From there we go to Surreybrooke to view the beautiful English-style display gardens and browse the plants and garden items in the shop and nursery. Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. Trip departs Green Spring Gardens at 6:30am and returns at 6:30pm. Cancelation date: June 12, 2019. The cost of the trip is $113/person.
