We were the first company in the UK to recycle all our floorcare mats which have reached the end of their life. In the first twelve months we have diverted over 12,000KG of mats away from landfill.

Our floorcare range is manufactured using 100% recycled nylon 6 - Econyl® which converts and reuses post industrial and consumer nylon waste including used fishing nets.

Our support encourages the fishing industry to return nets to shore rather than releasing them at sea. A very positive effect for our precious sea life.

INTELLIGENTUSE OFwASTE

We work closely with our waste treatment partners to take advantage of technologies that divert flock, the residue created from alternative treatments, away from landfill and re-route it to a Refuse Derived Fuel end user such as cement kiln operators.

We also support initiatives that divert the waste left behind following incineration. This is known as Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) and Incinerator Bottom Ash Aggregate (IBAA). Both are now used successfully in construction materials and recognised by The Highways Agency for use as an aggregate in road construction across the UK.

Boxless refills for our Auto Foam soap dispenser have enabled us to reduce the packaging content by 70%, collecting the EcoLabel endorsement along the way.

Cannon Hygiene recycles or reuses 90% of all returned washroom products and cardboard/cans and plastic from our operational sites.

Firstly it is 100% natural, using elements from nature to create an effective yet natural product. Secondly, the active ingredient is biodegradable, packaging waste is reduced to a minimum and there is no pollution risk throughout its lifetime.
