    The Green Passport for ships is a document providinginformation with regard to materials known to be

    potentially hazardous utilized during the constructionof the ship.

    The Inventory List should accompany the ship throughout

    its operating life.Successive owners of the ship should maintain theaccuracy of the Green Passport and incorporate into itall relevant changes

    Final owner delivering the document, with the ship, tothe recycling facility.

    The Inventory List of Potentially Hazardous Materials isan inventory of the materials known to be potentially

    hazardous, containing the location and theapproximate quantity/volume of each identifiedmaterial on board the ship, split into the followingparts:

    Part 1 - Potentially hazardous materials in the ships structure and equipmentPart 2 -

    Operationally generated wastes

    SHIPYARDTo design the vessel minimizing of hazardous

    substances used during her construction and tofacilitate recycling and removal of hazardous materialsduring ship in service.

    To contact with their suppliers and the shipsequipment makers to request all relevant informationabout the hazardous material used on the equipmentsand material used during the construction.

    To supply to Lloyds surveyor a comprehensive list of allthe materials used on board, including quantities andlocations.

    To follow up the agreed procedures and monitor onboard the provided equipments and materials.To ensure that the shipyards subcontractors are

    following similar arrangements.
