Scrap the welfare cap on the poor – many of whom are in work but don’t earn enough to live on – and enforce a cap on bankers’ bonuses. The Green Party wants to raise the minimum wage to a ‘living wage’ of £10 an hour by 2020.

We can change the world
Disabled Enabled
P free education
free publicly funded Education should be open to all and provide skills for a fulfilling life
Profit has no place in state education. We will end university tuition fees and increase student
grants to cover their cost of living. We want further education to offer a wide range of practical, vocational and academic
courses and qualifications for essential life skills.
Investment in the energy efficiency and renewable energy industries will create jobs, stimulate research, reduce emissions – and get people’s fuel bills down permanently.
ban fracking & nuclear fission
Protect our climate
The UK is experiencing more extreme weather patterns fuelled by pollution from coal and oil. We will invest in renewable energy for a cleaner, safer future – creating millions of jobs and a healthier environment for everyone.
now is the time to act!

Confined spaces in farrowing crates disrespects the needs of nursing sows.
COMPASSIONATE FARMING
animal welfare: Factory farming is bad for animals, bad for the environment and bad for our healthIt is time for a farming system that respects animals, allows farmers to make a decent living and produces tasty, healthy food. We want to ban live animal exports, end cruel farming practices, control the power of the supermarkets and put CCTV in all slaughterhouses.

uGreen Party MP Caroline Lucas is proposing a bill in Parliament that will reduce fares by 10% and bring our
railways back into public ownership. When rail franchises expire the public will save around £1 billion a year by not
subsidising private shareholders.
back in public hands
No armed conflictThe Green Party will unchain us from the spiralling arms race by removing the causes of armed conflict. Our foreign policies are based on building effective and cooperative international relations around the world.

Fairer taxation
The UK is the seventh richest country in the world but the gap between rich and poor is getting wider. Food banks co-exist with Ferraris.
We think this is wrong. We propose a Wealth Tax of 1-2% on UK citizens with assets of more than £3 million which would raise £21-£43 billion a year.
