GREENBUILD ASIA 2013 will move to a bigger venue at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) which can accommodate up to 700 booths. The PWTC will also be able to accommodate heavy and large construction equipment

Brunei: The Nation’s Vision 2035 plan has allocated $9.5 for the National Development Plan up to 2012. Projects include public service facilities, caring for current infrastructure and public buildings.

Indonesia: Government and private sector infrastructure projects worth US$230 billion will include the construction of expressways, railways, ports and airports, power stations, water supply and telecommunications projects.

Philippines: The Construction sector is projected to expand by 9.4% spurred on by the Government’s US$32 billion national budget.

Singapore: The BCA has projected that the value of construction contracts to be awarded is between $18 and $25 billion for 2011 and 2012. Thailand: The construction sector is projected to growth by 7% and is worth USD14 billion annually. In addition, the Government has approved US$5.9 billion for investments in infrastructure in 2010.

Vietnam: According to the Vietnam Construction Association, the construction industry will be implementing a program to develop housing until 2020. A target has been set to have an additional 30-32 million square meters of housing in the nation and 12 square meters of living space per person.

RM21.3 million Achieved By Exhibitors As a Result of The Show

The Malaysian construction industry is set to grow by 8% to reach RM92 billion in 2012 from RM85 billion in 2011 according to the Master Builders Association of Malaysia.

Between 55 to 60 percent of the building construction market was accounted to non-residential construction in terms of revenues and number of projects in 2008 and 2009

Overall building construction market would be elevated in growth with the impending 10th Malaysia Plan (2011-2015). Development expenditure by the Government of Malaysia is expected to be $67.80 billion (approximately MYR230 billion).

The 2010 budget reported that the construction industry recorded positive growth and has the potential to be further developed with the implementation of various Government development projects. In 2010, allocation totaling RM9 billion is provided to finance infrastructure projects including a provision of RM4.7 billion for road and bridge projects as well as RM2.6 billion for water supply and sewerage services; and, provision of RM899 million for rail facilities, RM820 million for ports and sea services as well as RM276 million for airport projects.
