lighting is both free and abundant during traditional work hours. Proper use of blinds and shades can help keep office ambient light levels at comparable levels to overhead lighting. Tip: Do not close blinds all the way. Angle the louvers until you have eliminated the shadow lines on the floor or on the desk, then stop. Proper usage differs based on which direction the windows face.
