The aim of the project is to increase children’ s consumation of fruit and vegetables and by that:

• to balance nutrition and reduce intake of fat, sugar and salt

• to encourage children’s healthy eating habits by increasing the part of fruit and vegetables in their nutrition and to prevent obesity and diseases caused by inadequate nutrition

WHO (World Health Organization) recommends a dailyintake of at least 400 g of fruit and vegetables, to reduce

the risk of serious health problems.

•Statistic shows that the Europeans, nor the Croats

don´t eat enough fruit and vegetables

• We can see the growing trend of overweight

• In Croatia 26,4% of school children at the age from 7

to 14 are overweight

• It is consequence of bad eating habbits and

insufficient and irregular physical activity
