Our Greece Tourtakes in all the best thatGreece has to oer the motorcycle tourist. We start in
Athens, ride Evia Island in the Aegean, then take to
the twisties in the mountains o the north - the Pindus
Range. There are several good stops at some world-
renowned archeological sites, including Meteora and
Delphi, and then we enter the Peloponnesus, and ride
the stark and beautiul landscape along the stunning
Mediterranean coast. Olympia, Monemvasia and Epid-
aurus are all on the way.
Greece most denitely has everything to oer the tour-
ist, and or the motorcyclist, so much more. To experi-
ence the beauty o Greece and its antiquities rom the
seat o a motorcycle is to experience one o the worlds
classic tourist destinations to the ullest.

Day 1: Arrival in AthensWelcome to Athens. Well pick you up at the airport andtranser you to your hotel. There youll have a chance tomeet other riders on the tour and try out your bike. I youhave time, wander the Plaka, the cobbled pedestrian-onlyshopping area in central Athens. Or relax on the roo top othe hotel which has a view o the Acropolis. In the evening,well eat at a classic Greek Trattoria.
Day 2: Athens - Evia Island
The island o Evia is the second largest island in Greece
ater Crete and oers us a wonderul introduction toGreece. As we ride the island, well discover its beautiulvillages, coastal resorts and quaint towns. Riding the coastoers antastic views o the mountains on one side and thecrystal blue waters o the Aegean Sea and Evoikos Gul onthe other. Rest stops mean a number o beautiul beachesto explore.
Day 3: Evia Island - Meteora
Ater our island tour, get ready or some really activeriding. Greece is almost 80% mountainous. The PindusMountains provide plenty o twisties and impressivescenery all around. Well ride these tight turns until theygradually open up to the wild terrain o eroded sandstonepeaks, the domain o The Meteora. The Meteora is oneo the largest and most important complexes o EasternOrthodox monasteries in Greece. In a region o almostinaccessible sandstone peaks, rom the 11th centuryonwards, monks built twenty our precariously perchedmonasteries. Today, we are able to visit six o the survivingmonasteries and their 16th-century post-Byzantinerescoes.
Day 4: Meteora - Karpenisi
This morning we ride into the mountain again. The
beautiul valley o the Karpenisiotis River provides thebackdrop or todays ride. Well travel the convoluted cliside as it skirts the mountains, stopping or short breaksto enjoy the abulous views. We overnight in the mountaintown o Karpenisi. Mount Tymristos lies to the north,elevating at nearly 2,315 meters. Karpenisi is a ski resorttown. In the summer, it attracts mountain bikers, climbersand river raters.
Day 5: Karpenisi - Delphi
Excellent riding greets us again today as we take to the mountaincurves once again. Eventually these demanding turns widen
out and drop us down into open valleys. In lower lands, theroad opens up, and we travel more spacious roads between themountains, towards one o Greeces most popular archeologicalsites. Delphi is the ancient home o a renowned Oracle who,with the help o a priest, dispensed advice rom the loty godsto everyday Greek citizens. One o the top ten must-see sites
in the world, Delphi was built in the 6th century BC and boasts
the Temple o Apollo, the sanctuary o Athena, and the muchphotographed Tholos. We arrive in the aternoon, so visiting thearcheological site ater the tour buses leave allows us to trulyappreciate this ancient wonder.
Day 6: Delphi - Cephalonia Island
Ater some great riding on the shores o the Gul o Corinthwe make a short stop in a picturesque town o Napaktos.We than continue to Peloponnese Peninsula by ridingacross the Rion-Antirion bridge, the worlds longest multi-span cable-stayed bridge. In the aternoon erry brings toCephalonia, a relaxing island in the Ionian Sea. This is a
Greek island the way they used to be; it pretty much goesits own way while you travel around and through it.
Day 7: Rest day on Cephalonia Island
Today is all about relaxing. Explore the numerous sandybeaches on the island and swim in the crystal clear sea,do some water sports or take a boat trip to one o theneighboring islands. You can also spend the day ridingon trac ree roads around the mountains and visitinga pleasant village o Fiskado in the northern part o theisland.
Day 8: Cephalonia Island Olympia
In the morning we take the erry and soon nd ourselveson the roads o Peloponnese again. Well skirt roads whichrame rugged mountains, progress through deeply carvedcoves, and make rest stops in beautiul mountain villages.We end our most-excellent journey day in ancient Olympia,with its collection o must-see ancient architecturalexcavations.
Day 9: Rest day in Olympia
Olympia is set against the mountains and is known orhaving been the site o the ancient Olympic Games. Onthe rest day, gather the most avid riders rom the tourand attack the coastal and mountainous roads onceagain. Nothing beats riding with a view o the spectacularMediterranean Sea. Or i you would rather, explorethe excavations o the Olympic Stadium, the Temple oHera, and the enormous Sanctuary o Zeus, to whomthe Olympic Games were dedicated. The archaeologicalmuseum houses the Hermes o Praxiteles, a classicsculpture masterpiece.
Day 10: Olympia - Mani
Today we ride the area known as the Mani. One o themost rugged and least traveled areas in all o Greece,well journey undulated roads through dryer country.Well hug the tight coastal road, in view o the spectacularMediterranean, slowing only to pass through tight arcs

high above beautiul azure-blue coves. Here you will see
orange, olive and lemon groves, and sheep and goatherders tending focks. This is Greece as it has been orhundreds o years, beore the tourists. In the evening, wellenjoy traditional Greek seaood and stay in a hotel builtrom the local stone and overlooking the spectacular coast.
Day 11: Mani - Monemvasia
Today well make the journey up the east side o thePeloponnese to Monemvasia. Monemvasia is a hugerock connected to the mainland and topped by a ortress.Unknown to the observer, the rock has a medieval,stone-built town on the seaward side. During the 6th
Century, barbarian incursions orced the inhabitants o thesurrounding area to retreat to this natural rock ortress.With its nearly 360 degree views o the sea, and quainttown built out o the local stone, Monemvasia is a greatplace to sit back on the terrace o the hotel with a drink andgaze out at the ocean.
Day 12: Monemvasia Nafplio
Guarded by the majestic Palamidi Fortress, whichprovides stunning views o the town and surroundingcoast, Naplion is one o the most beautiul seaside townsin all o Greece. Filled with neoclassical mansions and
perumed with the fowers o the Mediterranean, stroll
the vast pedestrian shopping area to pick up the last o
your souvenirs, or simply sit and enjoy dinner and theview at the lively waterront. A tourist area or Greeks aswell as oreigners, Naplio has a variety o outstandingrestaurants.
Day 13: Nafplio - Athens
One last magnicent ride through the stunning and variedterrain o the Peloponnese leads us to Athens. On the way,well make a short stop at the World-Heritage listed theatero Epidaurus and the Sanctuary o Asclepius. We also havethe choice o stopping at Ancient Mycenae, where the LionGate entrance is Europes oldest monumental structure.
Well also pass over the Canal o Corinth, a man-madecanal, which connects the Aegean Sea with the Gul oCorinth. Then well end the day back at our hotel in Athens,where our arewell dinner awaits.
Day 14: Flight home from Athens
Depart Athens (i you must). Or spend time in this abledcity. Dont miss the last o the abulous archeologicalsites available to you rom this tour: The Acropolis, TheParthenon, the Temple o Olympian Zeus and the NationalArcheological Museum. Or hop to one o the many islandsbeore heading back home.
