Traditional products with state-of-the-art production
Haitoglou Bros S.A. is a family owned company that was established in 1924 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The company produces and markets sesame-based traditional products as well as a whole range of other products e.g. jams, praline spreads, loukoumi and confectionary products.
The company has two state-of-the-art production units, one for sesame processing and one for the production of halva.
4
Preservation of tradition
The company has actively preserved the traditional methods that are so critical in maintaining the authentic character of their products.
As the company markets products that carry a prized cultural heritage of more than 80 years, it was already incorporating elements of Enterprise Cultural Heritage Management in its strategy and operation.
Haitoglou Bros S.A. was involved in earlier stages of the MNEMOS project and had hosted a study visit of the project partners so is familiar with the project and its purposes.

Training materials a useful tool
Mr. Hatzichristodoulou was impressed by the training material and felt that it would be a particularly useful tool for SMEs that want to be trained in ECH management issues with minimum effort.
Given that the company already has a strong sense of ECH management techniques, it is not going to make any change in its strategy the near future.
It is however going to disseminate and distribute the material to many of its employees and to its networks as it believes that training in ECH will significantly help the company to pursue its mission.
