To the end of 2013, the GTMA has helped 113 foreign companies start operations in the GTA
These maps showcase the GTA regional economic impact of two (out of 113) new investments assisted by the GTMA. They illustrate where
employees live in proximity to Canadian headquarters.
Nestle Canada Inc. in Toronto- Nestle employs about 3,600 people in 21 manufacturings ales and distribution sites across the country. While Nestle’s office is located in North York, its employment impact extends as far east as Whitby.
La Capitale Financial (previously known as Penncorp Life
Insurance) established an office in Mississauga with 80
employees. La Capitale has grown to become one of
Canada`s leading specialty disability insurance
companies with 260 employees in 2012. La Capitale`s
employment shed extends throughout the GTA and
beyond.
