    Greater Ogham Stones

If the Island of Albion had its own will and was sentient of

the turmoil going on in the world, then the Greater Ogham

Stones would be its answer to the many conflicts

engulfing the Warhammer world. Unlike the titanic stone

circles, these monolithic stone pillars stand alone,

portruding from the marshy landscape of Albion like

accusing fingers pointing towards the sky. !en those not

!ersed in the arts of magic can tell that these gigantic

rocks brim with power. "eing of lesser !alue than the

strategic stone circles, there was nonetheless much

fighting o!er the lone Ogham stones. #hose skilled in

harnessing the winds of magic feel their powers tenfold

enhanced while in the closer pro$imity and their

understanding of the winds of magic instincti!ely

    deepens.

#he most peculiar aspect of the stones is perhaps that they

seem to be sentient to a certain degree. #he ground

surrounding them is muddy and marshy, as if the stones

themsel!es don%t want anybody or anything to get too

close to them. #he &ruids and #ruthsayer offer no

e$planation to this mystery or to the fact that the stones

ha!e the ability to appear at different locations. It is

unknown wether the stones act on their own behalf or if

the wise men of Albion perform some ritual to summon

the Ogham stones to their aid. yewitnesses ha!e reported

not only of one and the same gigantic rock suddenly

appearing amidst two clashing armies on Albion but also

    on battlefields o!erseas.

#he way an Ogham stones appears differs e!ery time. Some manifest themsel!es slowly, merely ghostly frames

at first until they become solid structures after moments.

Others appear in a flash of lightning with a crack of

thunder. #he arri!al of one of these stones is more than

enough to turn the tide of a battle. nemies are struck

down by lightning or bogged down, as the ground starts to

turn into treacherous marshes. #hick mists surround the

sa!age warriors of Albion, as they renew their fighting

efforts, regarding the Ogham stones as the embodiment of

Albion. Wi'ards channel the magical energies stored

within the stones and their (enbeasts turn into unstoppable

forces of nature. Should a Great Ogham stone itself be in

danger it simply !anishes, only to appear somewhere elseon the battlefield to wreak ha!oc among the enemy troops.
