Congratulations to all our Trinity Cath-olic School graduates! Our 6th graders had their graduation Mass this past Friday even-ing at Sacred Heart Church. I personally

really enjoyed meeting with you in the classroom, praying with you at Church, eating with you in the dining hall, and crossing paths with you in a variety of places and events. I look forward to seeing you around town and in Church, and in the next couple years I’ll be seeing many of you in our Confirmation program. Don’t forget the CYO2 Youth Group program in the parish as well to stay connected. God bless you and all the best to you as you move on to Middle School next fall.

A blessed and happy Fathers’ Day to all our Dads, Grandfathers and Godfathers this weekend! ~Fr. Mark

Pastoral Planning “Go, and make disciples of all nations . . . “ So

begins the great commission of Jesus Christ at the end of the Gospel of Matthew. It remains the work of the Church. It’s OUR work in Massena and Louisville - to “make disciples.” Everything that we do with our sacra-mental life, our programs, our buildings, our staffing, our outreach - ALL OF IT - must serve this “Mission.” The mission we have is to make, form, and grow disciples of Christ. Are we doing that? Are we really concentrating our efforts on that? If something we do is not helping us to make disciples of Christ (or, God for-bid, becoming an obstacle to it), then we need to change what we’re doing. Are we putting forth a credi-ble, welcoming, honest invitation to explore a relation-ship with Christ? Do people who come to Mass for the first time (or maybe return after a long absence) get the impression that they are welcome? Are people intrigued by what we offer the community? Do people have any idea what it is that God has done for us personally in our lives? Is there evidence of joy found in every en-counter we have in the parish? These are questions that must guide our considerations as we form our Pas-toral Plan.

Catholic Communications Campaign Thank you for your generosity to last week’s collec-tion for the Catholic Communication Campaign (CCC). Your support will help the CCC connect millions of people with Christ and spread the gospel message. If you missed the collec-tion, it’s not too late to give! ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP

Pope Francis expresses the value of environmen-tal stewardship within the introductory section of his Encyclical Laudato Si : Care for our Common Home. “Young people de-mand change. They wonder how anyone can claim to be building a better future without thinking of the environmental crisis and the sufferings of the excluded. Particular appreciation is owed to those who tirelessly seek to resolve the tragic effects of environ-mental degradation on the lives of the world’s poorest.”
