artwork selections will create an ambience

of upscale elegance, while maintaining

the feeling of warmth and comfort for

which Normandy Towers is so well known.

Patricia James

Patricia considers herself a people person, so she likes the fact that her job as a dental

assistant gives her the opportunity to meet and help people. Even though she has worked

in that profession for 23 years, she appreciates how each day brings fresh new experiences.

In her free time, Patricia likes to shop and to eat out at local fine dining establishments.

She also loves to spend quality time with her family and is actually planning a 5-day cruise

to Mexico with family and friends. When Patricia decided to look for a new home in 2007,

she toured Normandy and really liked what she saw. She was initially drawn to our well-

maintained property and ideal location, and later fell in love with our friendly residents

and relaxed environment. That’s why Patricia feels that Normandy is the best apartment

community in Euclid. Thank you, Patricia, for being a part of our Normandy family!

WASHI TAPE ART

The word “washi” literally means Japanese

paper, and the craft of working with this

substance dates back nearly 2,000 years and

is considered to be a treasured cultural

heritage. More recently, trendy home

decorators have fallen in love with a similar

material known as washi tape. This semi-

adhesive substance comes in a variety of

colors that can adhere to home surfaces

and provides an incredibly simple means for

creating imaginative wall designs. To learn

more about washi tape and create your own

unique work of art, head to the Euclid Public

Library on Wednesday, March 18 from

4-5pm. The event is for artists of all ages and

no registration is required, but children under

8 must be accompanied by an adult.

GOODBYE YELLOW BRICK ROAD: VR FILM

As he prepares to retire from touring after a

celebrated 50-year career, Elton John

released a stunning VR film that chronicles his

musical legacy and celebrates his

showmanship. On Friday, March 6, from

2-4pm, the Euclid Public Library invites you to

look back at some of Elton John’s colorful

performances and experience his virtuosity

through the magic of virtual reality. The film

blends footage of his hits with psychedelic

animation that brings his music fully to life.

Did you know that peppers are among the most nutrient-dense vegetables? They

are packed with 30 different antioxidants including Vitamin E, which has been

associated with enhancing immune function and protecting heart health. Among

bell peppers the most nutritious are the red, orange, or yellow varieties, while green

bell peppers contain relatively fewer nutrients since they are picked before

becoming fully ripe. Lastly, the health payoff for eating hot peppers like cayennes,

chilis or jalapenos is that they all contain capsaicin, a substance that has anti-

inflammatory properties. Whatever kind of pepper you like, enjoy it in good health!

March Speed Elegance Comfort Quality Best Treasured Imaginative Legacy Magic Ripe Golden

Preheat oven to 375 F. Brown chorizo in a

skillet over medium-high heat, about 8 to 10

minutes. Drain and place into a large mixing

bowl. Add cheese, red onion, egg, cream

cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, and salt and

pepper, to taste. Remove stems and seeds

of jalapenos and halve them lengthwise.

Press mixture into jalapeno halves and

assemble on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Bake until golden and bubbly, about 20

minutes. Serve this flavorful and colorful

crowd pleaser as a spicy side dish for lunch or

dinner, or as a game day snack along with

other crunchies and munchies.
