Alfred Hitchcock Sir Alfred Hitchcock was described at one time as the UK's best director, and his films such Shadow of a doubt, Vertigo and Psycho have all been greatly credited. It has been said that he pioneered many new techniques used in thrillers today and employed many new ways of building suspense among his audience.

It has been said that he filmed he framed shots to increase anxiety and fear, via his innovative way of film editing

He first found success with the science-fiction hit The Terminator (1984). that has been noted for giving audiences a mental insight into the characters that he puts forth. This is evident in his narrative of the batman series for characters such as the Joker.

Another example of Nolan experimenting with psychological instances is the box office hit ‘Inception’.

Originally he began to be influenced and take an insight into directing at the age of seven and began to take precedence after his film ‘Following’.
