SECOND COMING OF HAZRAT ISA (Christ, son of Mary) (PBUH)

According to Traditions recorded in his famous work RIYADH-US-SALEHEEN Vol.-II by Imam Nawawi, Hadith Number 1808 (ref. Muslim)Hazrat Nawwas (R.A.A) says that one morning the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) said something about the Anti-Christ (Dajjal)……………………………Describing about the days of Dajjal and his evils the hadith mentions the coming of Hazrat Isa (PBUH) to earth, “………ALLAH the Exalted will send the Messiah (Christ) son of Mary,(PBUH)who will descend (Upon the earth ) near the Eastern white minaret in Damascus, clad in two saffron coloured garments,…………….”

“…………………with his two hands resting on the arms of two angels. When he will bend his head drops of water will fall from it, and when he will raise it , white drops like pearls will fall from it……………………………………………”

This one is a very long Hadith (tradition, saying of Prophet Muhammad SAW) describing the appearance of Dajjal, the anti-christ and being killed by Hazrat Isa (PBUH) with future conditions which can be referred to in the above mentioned book.

The Second coming of Prophet Isa (Jesus son of Mary PBUH) is a belief shared both by the Christians and Muslims with several mentions in the Books of both religions.

Although the photo depicted are sourced from internet, it is not made sure which Minaret is referred to here, but the Great Mosque of Damascus is possibly the same as referred to in the Hadith.

And Allah knows best.

Brief History

Page 4: Great mosque of damascus

THE GREAT ‘UMMAYAD MOSQUE OF DAMASCUS, SYRIA.

The descent of Hzt Isa (PBUH) at a place common to Muslims and Christians is having a great significance. The presence of shrine of

Prophet Yahya (John) AS, is also to be noted, as in many places in The Quran, Prophet Yahya (AS) is mentioned together with Prophet Isa

(AS). Hzt Isa (AS) would bear allegiance to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and help muslims.

A WONDER LIVING TODAY

While we all may wonder how Jesus (AS) may communicate when he comes to this world for the second time as he would land into a very different world altogether, a world of different culture, a world speaking a different language………..

……….it is surprising to note that the language spoken by Jesus in his times still survives…..

……..and in those precincts where he is prophesised to ascend (as in many Hadith)

In Syrian Villages, the Language of Jesus

Lives

Malula, along with two smaller neighboring villages where Aramaic* is also spoken, is still celebrated in Syria as a unique linguistic island.

* The language spoken by people at the time of Jesus (PBUH)

Page 8: Great mosque of damascus

Here in the barren Qalamun Mountains the people do not speak Arabic, at least among themselves. That language has been the lingua franca in this part of the world for more than 1,000 years, but theirs is even older, going back nearly 3,000 years to around 900 B.C

Page 9: Great mosque of damascus

The language is Aramaic, the one spoken by Jesus Christ.

Only in Malula, with a population of about 5,000, and in two nearby villages does Aramaic survive.

As home to several Christian holy sites, including the fourth-century St. Sergius' Church, which was built to honor soldiers slain by a Roman emperor because of their beliefs, Malula has long been a haven for Christians. They make up about half the population, a far larger proportion than the 13 percent in Syria as a whole.

But even if the link to Jesus Christ makes some Christians more passionate about preserving the language, there is no divide when it comes to Aramaic in Malula.

Muslims and Christians alike chatter in a language that is incomprehensible to most other Syrians and to almost everyone else

Page 12: Great mosque of damascus

In Malula, spoken Aramaic

has lived on, unmolested by

successive conquerors who never bothered

to force conformity on such a remote

place, a redoubt that lies at an

altitude of 5,000 feet

Prayer

• Lets Pray to Allah to guide us to the right path and save us from the trials & tribulations the Muslims are put in today,

• Lets pray that Allah expedites the coming of Hzt. Isa (AS) and Hzt. Imam Mahdi (AS), the Guided One, to bring the Barakah and blessings from Allah for a better world to live. The way prescribed by Him to live in.
