own firm in Grand Blanc, Michigan, Amna Osman’s activities outside of work include coaching and mentoring at Great Lakes Leadership Academy at the Michigan State University. As a leadership coach, Amna Osman is a mentor, coach and facilitator and helps participants develop personal/ professional plans and work on a issue for the common good of Michigan.

Great Lakes Leadership Academy (GLLA) hosts programs for individuals who want to explore the interconnections in communities in the state and address the issues that affect their quality of life.

Great Lakes Leadership Academy The mission is to promote positive change, economic

vitality, and research conservation. The GLLA Advanced Leadership Program, aims to achieve this mission through a series of sessions over 18 months. The sessions urge participants to consider several interrelated questions: Who am I, who am I with others, and who are we? These questions are discussed and explored with increasing complexity during the sessions in order to help participants discover themselves as leaders, cultivate relationships, work collectively with others, and arrive at an understanding of their notion of the common good.
