Happy Halloween!
I hope you are having a spook-tacular day!
It seems like once again, fall has come and gone,but we have not let the change of weather stop ushere at the Club. This month, Club kids have had ablast learning new skills, enjoyed the outdoors, andtaken fun fall field trips.
I want to extend my sincerest thanks to you forsupporting the youth of Portage County. You havegiven them endless opportunities to grow asindividuals, develop new friendships, and have funeach day they are at the Club.

Geek Squad Visits The Teen Center
Best Buy's Geek Squad visited theTeen Center this month. Our Teen ITClub learned about the hardware andsoftware in a computer by tearing itapart and putting it back together withthe volunteers.

Flag Football
Our Boys & Girls Club of PortageCounty centers formed flag footballteams and have been competingagainst one another. For the past fewThursdays, centers have not onlycompeted, but they have worked onlearning team skills.
It's because of you that we canprovide our Club kids with the
opportunity to have fun being activeand learning new skills!

Chemistry students from UWSP thatare part of the American ChemicalSociety Student Affiliate (ACSSA)joined Club members for a fun activityat the Berard Center.
We appreciate the ACSSA membersfor volunteering their time andmaterials so the kids could have a funlearning experience!

No School Days
We had our first no school day onFriday, October 26. When our Club
kids have a no school day or a schoolcancellation, a few of our centers are
open, so that parents don't strugglefinding a fun and safe place for theirchildren.
Lunch and breakfast are provided onthose days as well! Your support ofthe Boys & Girls Club of PortageCounty makes this possible. Thankyou!

Did you know that October is NationalCookie Month? We took fulladvantage of that at the BerardCenter and had the kids work as ateam to make cookies!
Giving our youth a fun and hands-onactivity like baking is only possiblebecause of the support you offer theBoys & Girls Club of Portage County.
