Retreat (Students Celebrating and Rejoicing Enthusiastically in the Almighty Mes-siah)! It’s $185 for the weekend (that’s why I’m telling you now – so you can save or even think of it as a belated Christmas gift!); it will be at Sharp Top Cove in Jasper, GA, and will be a great life-changing weekend for our sweet kids as they have the opportunity to learn more about Jesus in new ways. Please let me know by next Monday, December 15th if you are inter-ested (that won’t commit you, but I need to get a general headcount).

Join us for these special Sundays in January:

January 4: Join us at all three services as we welcome Craig McClure and his family. The McClure’s are missionaries from the Domincan Republic where they run a medical clinic in a remote village location. This year, they added the ability to provide clean, potable water cheaply to the population that has little access to such water. Over last few years our own DR Missions team has worked closely with the McClures. We look forward hearing their story as we begin 2015.

January 11: We'll have an opportunity on January 11th to start the year off right by getting realigned with God through our John Wesley Covenant Service. This service has the power to affect the entire year so make sure you're here!

Ongoing prayers for those with Cancer: Liz Letzgus, Joanne Schafer's sister, Milton Clark, Jenny Jackson's father, Mimi Kalunga, Shirley Willett (Kelley Stone's mother), Vickie (Sue Jannakos' daughter) Jayde Joseph, Carey Dagenhart & Jennifer Barber's Aunt, Janice Chapman's niece Kiera, Susan Gerard, Melayne McInnis, (Steve Morgan’s sister) Ada Busbee; Elanor Brunot, Richard Weeks

Ongoing prayers for those Serving in Missions: The Reuschles, the Kahns, the McClures and Carey Childrey

Ongoing Prayers For Those Serving in Military: Chad Marley (Fort Gordon, GA); Zach Chaffee, Ken Peck's nephew (Savannah); Brian Peeler, Lew Fuller's grandson (Ft. Knox, KY); Adam Peeler, Lew Fuller's grandson (Okinawa); Brian Humphrey (Amy McCutchen Humphrey's husband); Mark Bejcha (Fort Hood); Allen Kehoe, Barbara Shelton's nephew (Ft. Knox, KY), Kevin Carr, Jimmy Ashman's Nephew (Royal Navy HM Submarines); Robert Har-ris (Afghanistan); Albert Rinuado, Christi Bailey's Brother-in-law; Zack Har-ris, Viriginia Harris' grandson (Japan); Ty Kent, Lauri Mayo's son-in-law; Justin Webber (Fort Benning)

LIFT: Living in Faith

Together 5th Grade—8th Grade

LIFT kicks off January 13 with our “Unlikely” Series….God doesn't ex-actly operate like most of us. What we mean is, He chooses the most unlikely people to work through. He shows up in the most unlikely places. And then He asks us to respond in ways that are unlikely and go against our normal response. And what it all boils down to is this—you and I are unlikely people God uses in unlikely places to respond in unlikely ways. Questions? Contact Charlie Conder [email protected]

Refuge 9th—12th Grade

We will be kicking back up for the New Year on January 7th with our new se-ries, “Amplify”. For most of us, doubt feels like something we should hide, ignore, or silence. Year after year, we suppress those doubts and never grow through them. When we look closer we find that amplifying our doubt, turning up the volume on the right questions, may just be the best thing that ever happened to our faith. We want to challenge students to “Amplify” their faith in 2015! Questions? Contact Ayubu Hashiguchi [email protected]
