GRAYS was founded in London by Stewart Great Uncle ion Hackney London 1927. With London fashion expanding like Paris in 1927, there was growing demand for quality contemporary men’s tailoring to a discerning clientele.  The family roots being in tailoring and haberdashery gave Bernard a good background in style and service, understanding that customers wanted to receive quality, contemporary styling and a good service at an affordable price. That philosophy never wained as the Grays family expanded their presence in London, with the original store in Hackney being the centre of operations. Following on from him two Grays generations continued the name, whilst also exploring other avenues of design and brand building at home and abroad. Developing the reputation for excellence in style, fabrics and craftsmanship. In 2009 Stewart Richard Grays added his spin to the name with a new twist on men’s accessories.  Over the previous years with his US brand and commissions to create personal pieces for celebrities and notable figures, they became the brands ambassadors for the GRAYS name. Since then Stewart Grays moved the manufacturing to South Africa, where in 1852 members of the family had settled in Paarl. Now with an established base of the highest quality manufactures the brand has released two new labels GRAYS London for the man who likes style and quality at price that is still affordable. And for the active leisure market G4Sport, a culmination of sports and leisure tops, track pants and accessories that would make even the newest fitness fan feel like a prince.

Designer Stewart Richard Grays partner’s with Ray Henry Randall to bring two collections that epitomises contemporary men’s fashion. The apparel and accessories collections are perfect for the professional out-going man who strives to live a balanced lifestyle between work, health, social and travel.

Stewart Grays is no stranger to the world of fashion. The acclaimed British designer has had an impressive career working in luxury retail brands across the world. Ray Randall, Fashion Director, has worked in entertainment and trends, with his passion lying in personal styling.

Together with Stewarts’ international experience and Ray’s trends knowledge, these fashionable men have designed both GRAYS London and G4Sports to offer stylish contemporary apparel and accessories to suit a balanced, active, career.

The mainline GRAYS London men’s collection of Apparel and accessories uses Italian fabrics and trims, enamel branded buttons, contemporary styling with classic over-tones. The accessories are in a soft Napa leather with the Italian chrome hardware and suede lining, that complement the look.

The G4Sport line of leisure and sports-wear along with the canvas and leather accessories offers a relaxed masculine style for every day use and travel. Think luxury designer quality and design at mid-level prices.

The family has a long-standing tradition of using fine fabrics from some of the best milliners in the UK and Europe, to create quality, detail focussed, clothing and accessories for men.The new collection which celebrates not only the brands 90th anniversary, but also as a return to the world fashion arena, with the Grays London brand and the G4sport brand.The inspiration behind the new look is coastal lifestyle.
