Norm Pratt Principal , Grayhawk Elementary Norm Pratt was originally from Ypsilanti, Michigan and moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in the 1960’s. He attended Pima Elementary School and graduated from Scottsdale High School. After earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Arizona State University, Norm moved to Boulder, Colorado where he worked as fine arts printer and as a musician.

After playing music for many years, Norm returned to A.S.U. earning his post-baccalaureate in Visual Arts education. In 1987 he began his career in education teaching Art in the Paradise Valley School District at Eagle Ridge Elementary and later went on to help open Boulder Creek Elementary. He earned his Master’s Degree from Arizona State in Educational Leadership and Administration. In 2008, Norm left teaching and became the Dean of Students at Mountain Trail Middle School. In 2010, Norm became the Assistant Principal at Grayhawk Elementary and in 2011 became the Principal.

Norm’s wife is also an educator, where she works for the Cave Creek School District as their Technology and Instruction Coordinator. The couple has two wonderful children and a new son in law who all reside in the valley.
