LogosStart-up company called Ameri-can Metal & Glass requested a logo. It will eff ectively be a glazing sub-contractor, installing glass store-fronts/entryways, interior mirrors, and glass systems. Specializing in the interior portion, but also expe-rienced in exterior glass systems; eventually AMG seek to expand into many areas such as outside sales, drafting, contracting, con-sulting, and ‘green’ development/renovation. The client asked that the initials AMG be prominent, and that the design be smooth, very industrial, and straightforward. Three ideas were proposed, the
third shown was chosen.
The logos that remain were cre-ated and entered in competitions.

SparklepussyBand Logo
CompetitionSparklepussy, the band formerly known as Shut-up Marie, held a competition for a new logo to represent their name change. They wanted a skinny female cat standing upright with rock n’ roll appeal and plenty of “sparkle”. The first entry won a spot in the finals which was narrowed down to one
other artist.
The requirements became more specific as the band moved toward a fun summer-like surf feel, inno-cent yet flirty. They also requested more of a cartoonish type charac-ter rather than realistic cat-girl. Another design was given, how-ever the band chose the design of
the other artist.
After the competition, the initial design was adapted.

I Think I Broke My
RobotThe desire was to make an android piece that was non-threatening, colorful and somewhat comical. Instead of functioning on stand-ard greasy oil, the android runs on bright liquids flowing through its “veins”. Of course then what would happen if you cut one (or
four)?
