Grants Pass Seventh-day Adventist Church
Pastor Charles Byrd
November 23, 2019
The blessings of the Sabbath draw to a close
this evening at 4:46 PM
and resume next Friday at 4:43 PM
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Today’s flowers are in memory of Delmer Wagner. We remember him fondly and continue to pray for the family.
10:50 AM Following Peter’s powerful experience with
Cornelius and his household, he was suddenly met with fierce
criticism from his brothers and sisters in the church. Today's
sermon by Pastor Tanner Martin will address conflict in the
church and what we should do when others disagree with us.
12:30 PM Prayer for Our Children will now meet in the front
of the sanctuary immediately following the service.
1:00 PM All are welcome to the Better Living Center following
the sermon for today’s Fellowship Meal which is being hosted
by All Church.
5:00 PM We were blessed today during our main church
service with guest pianist Handerson Pontel, and the blessing
will continue as he presents an afternoon sacred concert.
~ TO OUR GUESTS~ Welcome to the family of the Grants Pass Seventh-day Adventist
Church. If you desire a place where you can grow spiritually, find
healing, and learn from the Bible, please join us on that same journey.
You may share information with us by filling out the "Connection Card"

“The Gift" Christmas Program Just three weeks and counting! This year's Grants Pass Choir &
Christmas Program will be a superb community-wide event that you
don't want to miss! The Greatest Story ever told will be shared via
music that will thrill and move you deeply. A great variety of sacred
music will be presented, as well as some of your old favorites placed
to new arrangements. Invite your family and friends to join you for
this one-night event here at our church on December 14th at 5:00
PM. See you there!
Fountainview is Coming – What Can I Give Him?
This year’s Fountainview Academy Orchestra and Singers tour is
called “What Can I Give Him?” and they will perform two free
concerts here at the Grants Pass Church on Sunday, December 15th at
5:00 and 7:30 PM. We spend so much money, effort, and time in
selecting the perfect Christmas gifts. These gifts are supposed to show
our love and appreciation for the recipient. What if we spent the same
amount of time preparing our gift for Jesus? The greatest and only gift
we can offer Him is our heart. Join Fountainview for an inspiring and
festive evening of Christmas music and fellowship. Soak up the joy of
Christmas while focusing on the real reason for the season. We will
let you know as soon as the tickets are available!
Eternal Ring Handbell Choir
Fifteen years ago, the first Eternal Ring handbell choir began at
Broadview Academy under the direction of Cathe Morse. Since that
time, outstanding bell groups from RVAS, HAA, and RVAA have
borne the name of Eternal Ring and have blessed churches, schools,
and communities with their inspiring music. This January, the Grants
Pass SDA Church will begin hosting Eternal Ring, a community
Christian handbell choir. Under the direction of Cathe (Morse) Driver,
this group will be open to musicians of all Christian faiths, who have
bell experience or strong note-reading skills. If you would like to be
part of a hard-working, fun-loving, Jesus-serving musical ensemble,
please contact Cathe Driver at 541-324-8340 ASAP to be considered
for membership in Eternal Ring.
2020 Devotionals
Brochures are now available at the Personal Ministries window, or you
can see them online at www.AdventistBookCenter.com. Remember,
devotional orders placed through the church’s Personal Ministries will
receive a special discount. Edith will be placing orders on Dec. 2 & 9.
Please remember that all orders must be prepaid.

The library is missing three New Revelation DVD’s. If you borrowed
them, please return them, or call Andie Springer. Thank you!

Our College Members
Women’s Ministry plans to send small care packages to our church
family members in college as a reminder that they are loved by their
church family as well as by their immediate family. If you have a
daughter or son in college, please send their mailing address to Linda
Wagner at: [email protected]. Also, if you would like to help
with this ministry, please let Linda know.
K-12 Scholarship Fund If you would like to impact a child’s life through Adventist education,
please consider contributing to the Oregon Conference’s K-12
Scholarship program. For more information, please see the flyers
located at the personal ministries window.
Church Calendar Scheduling
Please contact the church office prior to planning an event or if you
would like to use a room in the church, the sanctuary, or the Better
Living Center. ALL activities, other than the already-regularly-
scheduled ones, must be cleared with the church office. There are
many instances where rooms are already booked but the information
hasn’t been made public.
Various Projects Needing Assistance
As this year draws to a close, we’re finding that many of our
maintenance projects around the church property are needing extra
financial help. The accounts most in need of monetary help are the
church budget, the parking lot, BLBN building maintenance, projector
maintenance, and overall church building maintenance. If you feel
impressed to give monetarily, please mark a tithe envelope with the
project of your choice.
