MISSION
The mission of Mosaic Medical is to improve the lives and health of individuals and families we serve.
WHAT IS A FEDERALLY-QUALIFIED HEALTH CENTER (FQHC)?
Federal designation assigned to private non-profit or public healthcare organizations that serve predominantly uninsured or medically underserved populations
Mission is to provide high quality, comprehensive primary care for individuals & families regardless of insurance coverage or the ability to pay
Community-owned, private nonprofit or public businesses governed by a board of directors comprised of area volunteers, over half of whom are patients
Receive a federal grant under Section 300 of the Public Health Service Act that enables the organization to offer its services to qualified under and uninsured individuals and families on a sliding fee scale
Are strongly linked to the communities they serve
Work with other public and private health services to coordinate resources for effective patient care
Partner with local government and community-based organizations to offer non-medical resources to their patients
Offer their services in a culturally-sensitive environment, offering interpretive services on-site for all patients
Offer enabling services on-site to address social needs
