Grand&Upright Piano

The Weber Piano of today maintains its commitment to the traditional production methodsestablished over 160 years by Albert Weber, synonymous to the state of the art technology and manufacturing processes in our far eastern factory. The entire process from material selection toassembly is rigorously maintained to produce an instrument worthy of our proud history of traditional craftsmanship.

Gaining enormous popularity in the latter half of the 19th Century, Internationally renowned musicians chose Weber Pianos because of their warm, rich tone.

Born in Barvaria, Germany on July 8, 1828, Albert Weber learned to play piano from the age of fiveand composed music from the age of eight. He was influenced by leading musicians of the classicalera including classical pianists Beethoven and Mozart.

At a young age of 24, he opened his own piano shop under his name and began to study resonance and depth of sound. Through his studies, he was able to innovate parts by making earnest improve-ments of the felt, hammer, and steel frame.

The Soundboard is the most crucial element of the piano’s tone. The wood must be lightweight yet strong enough to withstand the down-bearing of the strings and still transmit the slightest of vibrations with great sensitivity. Found in the coastal forests from Northern California to Alaska, Sitka Spruce has long been distinguished as the premiere wood for sound production. AAA graded Sitka Spruce is used for the core parts of generating sound on Albert Weber / Weber.

German piano wire has a long tradition of providing an absolutely beautiful and pure sound with its own distinct musical character. Albert Weber / Weber Grand Pianos use Roslau premium wire in both the tenor and treble sections of the piano harp.

Felt is a durable fabric which is made by interlacing natural wool fibers in a special pressing process. 100% long fiber virgin wool, the absolute finest quality of felt, is used to create piano hammers with resilience and dynamic tone in Albert Weber / Weber pianos. The Platinum hammer allows Weber pianos to respond to the style of every pianist, from forte to pianissimo.
