INTRODUCTION

The Grande Auditório has a fixed proscenium stage, apron, stalls, balconies and orchestra pit.

The proscenium has two orchestra pit lifts which can be levelled at different heights.

The stage surface is dark wood with an area of 579.15m2

The loading dock is located upstage and is separated from the stage by an acoustic gate.

Light and cinema projection control rooms are located on 2nd floor at the front of house. The Sound control area is located in upper section of the stalls.

On -1 level are the soloists dressing rooms. Also on this level are the storage rooms, the production room, the laundry and the wardrobe room.

On -2 level are the collective dressing rooms as well as a rehearsal room.

ORCHESTRA PIT

There are 2 orchestra pit lifts which can be equipped to accommodate up to 3 additional rows of seating (69

seats). The orchestra pit can accommodate up to 75 musicians. These 2 pit lifts can be set at various heights

from orchestra pit up to stage level. In addition there is a 2m deep section of the orchestra pit under the front

of the stage. This section height cannot be adjusted.

ACOUSTIC SHELL

The acoustic shell for orchestra is a scenic container made of special wood, formed of 12 modular surfaces

which enclose the stage and it can be set up in small, medium or big versions with 3m, 6m or 9m depth

respectively.

SAFETY AND WORKING RULES

The FCCB has responsibility for the health & safety and well-being of its staff and public in the premises of

FCCB, and also well operation of the building and space in use.

The following rules and regulations must be adhered to by all the members of the renting organization as

well as the visiting members.

. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas of the stage.

. It is not permitted to use or be in possession of any illegal substances whilst on the stage.

. All escape routes, exit doors, passageways and stairs must be maintained clear and unobstructed at

all time, any obstructed material shall be removed without any notification.

. All scenery, decorations, borders, drapery, curtains and similar decorative material have to be made

of non-combustible materials.

. It is not permitted whilst fastening fittings such as hinges or sheet materials to the stage floor by

using screws or any material that may cause damage to the stage surface.

. No other fixing may be made to the other parts of the building without the prior consent of the FCCB.

Any redecoration of the stage or auditorium must be approved in advance by the FCCB

. Carpentry, painting and locksmith work is not allowed on stage
