overall effect of drag due to exploiting the lead object's slipstream.

HOW-TO NUMBER TATTOO :
• Before applying the tattoo numbers, make sure your left arm area where the tattoo is to be placed is clean and dry. Any oil or cream on the skin will affect its adhesion.
• Arrange numbers on dry surface near you to ensure the correct order & direction of numbers according to your bib number. Ask for adult assistance if you’re not able to do this by yourself.
• Alternatively, if your tattoo is spoiled or is not available, please use a marker pen to body mark instead.
• It is advised that you do this at home before arriving at the race venue.
• Transfer temporary tattoos are activated by water. Prepare a wet kitchen towel/tissue or sponge nearby.
• With dry hands, remove the backing protective film from the tattoo. Start with the top most number.
• Place all tattoo numbers (sticky surface down on skin) & arrange as close as possible to each other. Paying attention to the direction of tricky numbers such as 3s, 6s & 9s. Press down evenly.
• Using the prepared wet kitchen towel/tissue or sponge just now, apply even pressure to the paper backing of the tattoo that is now on your arm.
• Paper backing will begin to soak through.
• Wait about a minimum of 60 seconds and then remove the wet kitchen towel/tissue.
• Gently peel or slide off the backing paper. Allow the tattoo to dry naturally.

MOUNT & DISMOUNT AREA FOR BIKE COURSE :
BIKE MOUNT GUIDE start of bike course
BIKE DISMOUNT GUIDE end of bike course
• During a Duathlon race, please do look out and observe the mount and dismount line when you leave or arrive at the transition area via the BIKE OUT or BIKE IN entrance.
• Make sure your bike is in an easy gear to start. For those using ‘Clipless Bike Shoes’ Have your shoes already clipped on. Put on helmet, glasses and bib. And if using running shoes, slip on shoes first. Lift bike from bike stand and push your bike towards the BIKE OUT entrance.
• At the end of your bike course, approaching the DISMOUNT LINE, prepare to dismount by slipping off your feet from your clipless shoes. And if wearing your running shoes, prepare to slow down to get off your bike
BEFORE the DISMOUNT LINE.
• Push your bike along the way leading back to your allocated transition basket. Return bike to bike rack. Remove helmet, put on running shoes and head for the RUN OUT entrance.
• If you are not familiar to dismount while still in motion, do stop momentarily and get off your bike safely with the way you normally do. Keep calm and race well!
• Prepare to mount bike AFTER the MOUNT HERE line. See image to see the standard mounting method. Do not to attempt flying mounts until you’ve mastered them. It is ok for you to stop momentarily and get on your bike the way you are used to.
The mount and dismount zone is an allocated area nearing the entrance or exit of the transition area. It will be marked with cones or a line on the road to indicate the start or end of the bike course. This mount and dismount area is a ‘no-ride’ & safe zone. This means that the athlete is required to push their bike into the transition area and not ‘cycle-through’. This is to ensure the safety of other oncoming or outgoing athletes in pursuit.
It is good practice to be familiar with your plans for bike-out, bike-in, and run-out
before the race.
