GuestsThe hall opens around 1 hour before the ceremony and ushers willguide you to your seat. Please be considerate of other guests duringthe ceremony. If you are bringing young children please be preparedto leave the auditorium if they become restless. You may takephotographs but please stay seated so you do not obstruct the viewof other guests. Video cameras are not permitted in the Hall.

Guests must be seated 25 minutes before the ceremony beginsand the graduand procession will enter the hall 15 minutes before.The ceremony lasts about 1 hour.

Live ceremony screenings - Faraday BuildingGuests without Great Hall tickets can watch the ceremony screenedlive. The venue is staffed, accessible and graduation programmeswill be available. No tickets are required.

RefreshmentsCatering outlets are located across campus. Those nearest to theGreat Hall and Lancaster Square:

Graduation Village - champagne bar and light refreshments; Marketplace, County College - food and beverages.

Graduation day timings2 hours before your ceremony, arrive on campus. Collect your gown from the LICA building.

1 hour before, graduands make your way to your lining up venue in the Great Hall and guests to your seats in the Great Hall.

Don’t forget:• Your College photograph in Lancaster Square (weather permitting). Pendle College 12pm; Flyde College 3pm (allow 45 minutes).

• To collect your certificate from the Round House, Lancaster Square.

• The Graduation Village, Lancaster Square for memorabilia, refreshments and alumni stand to collect your welcome pack. The LICA building for portrait photography.

Lining Up - 1 hour before your ceremonyPlease leave personal items such as handbags with your guests. You will be briefed on the ceremony proceedings, put into processionalorder and be given your name card (from which your name will be readout on stage). You will then process into the Great Hall for the start of the ceremony. The table below shows your lining up venue.

ParkingThere are no parking charges on graduation day. To park ina Blue Badge Space, you must hold and display a valid BlueBadge; those closest to the Great Hall – LICA Building,County Avenue and Bowland Avenue.
