I have an opening for a full-time engineer or draftsman to help with land development projects in College Station, specifically residential subdivisions.  Work will involve the design of all infrastructure associated with these projects including streets, drainage, water and wastewater systems.  I am looking for someone who has recently graduated or will do so in the very near future.  It is imperative that applicants have experience with a current version of AutoCAD (2010 or newer) so I am open to hiring non-engineers as well.  There is little or no travel involved as virtually all of our work is in College Station.  Salary will depend on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

Dr. Lowery:

Once again, we are looking to add an entry-level civil engineer to our small but growing engineering company. We've had very good luck in the past with candidates from your list server. Would you mind sending the attached announcement out, please? Thanks again for your help!

Thanks,Scott A. Brooks, P.E., CFMYalgo, LLC and W & B Development, Ltd.(254) 953-5353, [email protected]

The W & B Development Family

Current Opportunity

Yalgo, LLC, a member of the W & B Development family of companies, hasan immediate need for a recent or upcoming graduate of the civilengineering program at Texas A&M.

The Company

W & B Development is a family-owned land development business located in Killeen, Texas and founded by a 1977 graduate of Texas A & M’s civil engineering program. Since the company’s inception more than twenty-five years ago, W & B Development has grown to a team of nearly thirty talented individuals with experience in all aspects of the land

development process. We have the self-sufficiency to purchase land, plat it, produce engineering and construction drawings, perform the construction activities, and sell the finished product using our in-house employees and equipment, and we maintain zero debt while doing so.

We perform both commercial and residential development in several marketsfrom Waco to Austin and currently have over 5000 residential lots in ourinventory. The W & B Development family is functionally separated intothree companies:

• Yalgo – Yalgo is our engineering company and is responsible for thedesign and survey work. On occasion, we use outside consulting firmsto perform specialized design work such as water towers or Letters ofMap Revision for FEMA.

• W & B Construction – W & B Construction is our constructioncompany and has crews and equipment in the field building siteinfrastructure such as roads, water distribution, sanitary sewernetworks, and drainage systems. Our crews do all construction exceptasphalt paving and concrete curbing and structures. We use the bestavailable GPS and machine control technology to reduce constructiontime, and very soon we will be able to construct a subdivision withvirtually no field staking.

• W & B Development – W & B Development is our developmentcompany which manages and finances the entire developmentprocess.

The Engineer’s Role at Yalgo

With our vertically-integrated company structure, an engineer at Yalgo isinvolved in the project from before the property is purchased until finalinspection and project closeout. Here are some of the tasks for which anengineer may be responsible in a typical residential project as he or shedevelops the required experience:

The W & B Development Family

• Perform preliminary site layouts prior to land purchase to determinethe economic feasibility of the project• Perform environmental site assessments as due diligence prior toproperty purchase• Submit projects to planning and zoning committees and work withmunicipalities and neighborhood groups to get them approved• Perform numerous site layouts and cost estimates to determine themost efficient design to use for the project• Draw and submit project plats to municipalities and attend relatedmeetings with municipal officials• Develop site construction plans

o Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to design the sitedrainage infrastructure

o Design and analyze water and sanitary sewer networkso Design various concrete structureso Develop a site grading plan

• Create 3-D surface models (DTMs) for use in the field by constructionand survey crews• Supervise our crews during the construction process to ensure designparameters are met• Update the design and the DTMs, ensuring that design parameters aremet, as issues arise in the field• Produce as-built drawings and obtain final approval from regulatingauthorities when construction is complete

Why Join Our Team?

As you may have noticed, these jobs are not typical jobs where you arestuck in a cubicle doing the same thing over and over again. We needpeople with more than just engineering ability. The ideal candidate musthave good interpersonal skills, be a leader, be a self-starter, be capable of“thinking outside the box”, understand the financial impact of his or herdecisions, handle deadlines and stress, understand construction processesand methodologies, and MORE!

In this role, you will develop as a complete land development professional bybuilding relationships with all types of people from laborers to mayors andby learning from a proven and successful team that has built a business thathas grown from nothing to a 5000-lot inventory in 25 years without incurringdebt. In the process, you will be rewarded with an income that is based onyour contribution to our company. The right person for these jobs will bewell-rewarded with competitive compensation and benefits.Worried about the current housing market? Afraid that a career in landdevelopment might not be the right move at this time? These are validconcerns, but our company is poised to become stronger in this downmarket because we hold a competitive advantage that our competitors lack.We also are fortunate to be located in an area of the country that hasweathered the downturn in the housing market much better than otherareas have.

Our Competitive Advantage

Our company’s main competitive advantage is that we offer something toour customers that other companies cannot offer. Using this advantage, wehave developed excellent relationships with several national home builders. The advantage is pretty simple, really – it is efficiency. Our unique company

structure and methodology allows us to produce residential lots for less thanother companies, including the home builders themselves, can. We top thatoff by financing the lots in-house, saving the customer the time and paperwork.

How does this competitive advantage help us in a shaky housing market?Well, even in a down market, lots are still being developed and homes arestill being built, just not in the numbers they were before the market fell. The trick is to be the developer still selling lots, while maintaining acomfortable profit margin. We are able to do that because we are moreefficient than other companies. We are efficient because:

• We look at the financial return on the total project. For instance, whenengineering and construction are done by sub-contractors, each ofthose contractors needs to make a certain amount of profit. We, onthe other hand, can spend a little extra time on engineering to save alot of money on construction. Our engineers have a vested interest inthe profitability of the construction phase of a project. For instance,we may take the time to evaluate three different storm drain layoutsbecause it may save $10,000 in drainage structure cost for anengineering investment of $2,000. We call it “value engineering”!

• Each of our companies is more efficient than our competitors becauseall work we perform generates income. We don’t spend time biddingon projects only to lose the contracts to competitors, having wasted allthat time generating a proposal. If we are working on a project, it isbecause the project is already a real project for us!

• We don’t play the “blame game”. If the engineers mess up and theconstruction crews have to redo something, or vice versa, we don’tshut the project down until we figure out whose fault it was and who isgoing to pay for the fixes. We just fix the problem in the mosteconomical way, and learn from our mistakes.

• The construction company can request field changes that save moneywithout losing revenue, and the engineers can quickly make thechanges without a stack of engineering change orders to fill out andprocess.

• Our companies are good at what they do and are very efficient. Weequip them with the best tools available because we know that thesetools increase productivity. We have gladly spent hundreds ofthousands of dollars on engineering/surveying software and machinecontrol systems because it allows us to eliminate waste in the processof going from concept to finished product. Using those tools allowsone engineer to do what might otherwise take three, and when thedesign is complete, we create a DTM that is loaded directly to themachine control system, ensuring that the construction crews buildexactly what the engineer intended, very efficiently.

• Our underlying concentration is on efficiency because efficiency is ourcompetitive advantage! Every employee in all three companies worksto save costs at every opportunity and is continually trying to increaseefficiency.

• Our corporate structure creates an environment that lacks bureaucracybecause bureaucracy kills efficiency.

• We don’t borrow money. By self-funding our projects, we forego thedirect costs associated with borrowing, like points and interest. Wealso save on indirect costs, like property appraisals, market analyses, financial accounting procedures, and the time and energy that is spentacquiring loans.

Do You Fit Our Needs?

As long as the population grows, there will always be lots to develop. W & BDevelopment’s efficiency produces lots at the lowest possible cost, and wehave the financial strength to finance our lots to our customers, giving us astrong position in the real estate market. Our financial strength also allowsus to grow, but in order to do so, we need high-quality team members. Ifwe can find team members that understand and can execute our corporatemethods, we WILL grow. Are YOU one of those people?

If so, please contact me:

Thanks & Regards,John Faseler RED/GREEN = Get the Job Done w/ Accuracy

PS:  Do you know if any of the CE students who were interested in Chevron were able to get hired on?  I corresponded with several and forwarded their information further up the chain of command, but got snowed under with a problem well (just finished last week) and never heard back from them. (Either that, or their answer is buried somewhere in the remaining 2559 unread messages still in my inbox.)  Other sectors of the economy may still be a bit slow, but the oilfield is not only frantically busy, but terminally shorthanded.  We’re also facing an issue dubbed “the big crew change”.  The average age of the professional workforce is around 50 (I’m 44, so I’m in the thinnest slice of the age distribution pie).  The problem is that the average retirement age (a couple of years ago anyway) is 57.5.  So we need to hire a large number of new engineers and earth scientists and train them up as quickly as possible.

I work closely with Cassandra Manthey, the Mining Director here who recruits for the major coal miners in Queensland, Australia for roles such as Technical Services Managers, Mine Managers, Mine Engineers, Production Geologists, Short/Medium/ Long term Mine Planning Engineers, Drill and Blast Engineers, etc  I have come across your details on data.com and wanted to contact you directly as we are currently recruiting several engineering roles with top tier coal mining companies in Queensland Australia and I wanted to see if you would be interested in sending me your CV to see if your experience matches what we require in the roles on offer?  Ideally candidates will have previous experience working in the coal mining industry.

To give you an idea the senior level roles we are currently working on include a Technical Services Manager, Mine Manager, Principal Mining Engineer, and Senior Mine Engineer for the projects team of a top tier coal miner, based in the Brisbane head office.  The company in question has consistently been a high performing miner both internationally and in the Australian mining environment demonstrating a 60% productivity improvement across their impressive portfolio of underground and open cut mines. Mining high margin coal assets, the company has a large project pipeline of coal resources at advanced stages.  These roles will be responsible for working on one of their milestone projects and developing the technical strategies across this and future projects and studies.

Australia’s mining industry is currently booming and these conditions are providing excellent opportunities for experienced international mining professionals. Our clients are prepared to offer full visa sponsorship particularly to candidates with previous coal mining experience.    Some of the opportunities and conditions on offer in Australia include:• A flourishing export industry offering exceptional salaries with high earning potential (in fact the salaries on offer here are amongst the best in the world)• Excellent investment in operations and equipment• Family friendly rosters and 5 weeks annual leave• Subsidised housing and relocation assistance for employees and families• Good schools in family-friendly mining communities and major cities• Excellent social activities and beautiful location (most of the coal mines in Qld are within a couple of hours drive of the Great Barrier Reef and tropical beaches)

Cassandra has successfully placed and assisted to relocate a number of mining professionals from South Africa, Canada, and the USA for roles in Australia over recent months. Australia’s mining industry is currently booming and these conditions are providing excellent opportunities for experienced international mining professionals. Our clients are prepared to offer full visa sponsorship and relocation particularly to candidates with previous coal mining experience.

To give you an idea of the recruitment process involved, the first step would be for you to send me through a copy of your CV, and then I will organise a convenient time for Cassandra Manthey to give you a phone call. During this phone call she will conduct a telephone interview to establish your experience and career motivations. From there, with your agreement, she would represent you to our clients. They usually conduct interviews over the phone, or via Skype. If you are successful and they wish to proceed, you would do coal board medical and psychometric tests. Then they would invite you to do a face-to-face interview on site and would fund your expenses to have you travel to Australia from overseas. At that point they would make an offer of employment. If you think you might like to investigate these and/or similar opportunities in Australia a bit more, please send me through a copy of your CV and we can progress from there.

Alternatively, if Australia is not a realistic option for you, I would really appreciate it if you could pass on my details to anyone you know that might be interested for them to contact me or refer their name to me.  I look forward to hearing from you soon. MICHELLE BASTONMining Team CoordinatorLIME RECRUITMENTP (617) 3844 8303M 0421 212 581E [email protected]

5/3/12Dr. Lowery,

I have attached a job description for a Construction Project Manager that I am trying to fill.  Do you have 2-3 candidates that you think would be a fit in our organization?  I will have to do a bit of politicking to get a graduating new hire approved, but I’m hoping for the right candidate that would make the decision easy.  It’s a long shot, but I want to give it a try.  Ultimately it’s my decision.  I’m open to consider a wide range of graduates.  I know if Mobil Oil back in 1987 didn’t give me the break I needed, I wouldn’t be where I am today.  I didn’t have the greatest GPA, however, I came with a range of other activities that was appealing to them.  I need someone that will mix well with our climate; an open personable person that has good people skill (no BS artists please) and has the smarts to back it up.  I need a real team player that can think for themselves.

Let me know.  We are trying to fill the spot soon.  They can e-mail me directly with their resume and letter of interest.

Dear Dr. Lowrey,

I am seeking an advanced Jr. or Sr. level engineering student to help acquire and format data for a research study paper I am writing for a larger business plan. This information will be used for the raising of capital for a new venture company and its formation/launch.

This project is a new technology innovation for treatment of primary and/or secondary municipal waste water, water treatment and a host of other process applications that will utilize Advanced Oxidation processes driven by high powered acoustic sources. The technology approach is a hybrid of several techniques that lend themselves to the industrial scale application of the AO techniques.

The specific innovative technology my company is creating relates to the generation of high powered acoustic sources, and subsequent integration into the AO system.

The candidate I am looking for will have a working knowledge of the municipal waste water and water treatment processes and how to access technical and business data from technical libraries, internet and other sources. The information will be used to develop economic models if the industry, technology forecasts, market trends, etc. From this our business planning will be developed on how to address the market and the creation of Pro-formas.

Creation of the business data does require a knowledge of the technical aspects of the water treatment process in that they will need to understand the different technical issues facing the water treatment facility and how our technology will impact overall plant processes.

As the project matures, multi-physic analysis (electro-magnetics, magneto-mechanics, mechanics-acoustics, acoustics-fluids, fluids-chemical, fluid dynamics), physical conceptual development, system design, fabrication, piloting and data acquisition will all be executed.

This project will be initiated within the next 4 weeks and continue through out the summer. If the student is interested, a number of these subjects can be carried on throughout their continuing academic activity.

This NewCo activity is located in New Braunfels. I do not require the candidate to live here, but needs to be willing to commute several times a week to collaboratively work on the project. Out of office work can be done anywhere.

5/10/12Dr. Lowery,It's been some time since we last corresponded but since that time I was appointed Director of the TxDOT Bridge Division. In this position I direct and oversee activities of the Bridge Division to include bridge project development, design of bridges and associated structures, geotechnical design, development of statewide standards and manuals, construction engineering and support for bridge and retaining wall projects, and processing and review of project design plans. As it turns out I am the first Aggie State Bridge Engineer in our 95 year history.

The real reason I am contacting you is that we may have some positions open for EIT's very soon. I realize we're kind of late on the May grads but certainly those graduating this summer or even in the fall would be of an interest to us. We would be most interested in folks who have taken a structures focus in their studies and have a keen interest in bridge design, analysis and construction. If you know of any candidates you think would be good prospects please have them send me a resume. One important thing to note is that all candidates must be able to provide proof of authorization to work in the U.S. as a condition of employment. TxDOT cannot sponsor H-1B or any other types of visas or work permits.

5/24/12Dr Lowery,

As the economy appears to be picking back up, I hope the May 2012 grads are having an easier time finding employment than those from this time last year.  My firm has recently begun a search for a new EIT hire.  Our firm is rather unique, in that we do a lot of inspection work of elevated structures and confined spaces, primarily water tanks and towers, fuel storage tanks and bridges.  I know this type of work does not appeal to a lot of CE grads, but for those that are seeking a challenge, enjoy working outdoors, and are not afraid of heights or claustrophobic; it might be a good fit.  If anyone you know might be interested, please have them visit our company website, www.DunhamEngineering.com, and contact me via phone or email.  I'm looking to make a hire in the next 4-6 weeks.

Thanks,

Dr. Lowery,

I hope you are doing well at Texas A&M!I am now working full-time as a Senior Engineer and Project Manager with IBI Group in Edmonton, AB.  (www.ibigroup.com).

We give out internships here each year in the summer months, and I would like to see some Aggies here.

A. We primarily recruit civil engineering students but there are also limited slots for architecture and accounting.

B. The interns spend most of their time in the field learning the construction practices of the engineers.  All entry level engineers are required to do at least 2 years in the field.  Therefore the internship may significantly reduce this time frame for someone looking for a career here.

C. Also here in Alberta we only have 2 colleges that graduate engineers.  In short we are constantly looking for civil engineers in Land Development/Site Civil.  The Oil Sands operations nearby have been stealing lots of the young engineers and we cannot compete with their pocket books.

D. Also keep in mind that while an Aggie may not wish to raise a family in Alberta Canada, if we find a good engineer, instead of losing them we simply transfer them to a branch of their choice.  (We are about to move into the Texas Market as well)

Also, I know that DLZ in Indianapolis, IN (http://www.dlz.com/) is currently looking for a 5-10yr civil engineer to join the Stormwater Management Program.

Primarily Site Civil/Land Development engineering.

Also CST Industries in DeKalb, IL (http://www.cts-industries.com/) is looking for entry level structural engineers and possibly a Project Manager level of 10 years.

Primarily Structural Engineering in the design of rooftops, domes and tank covers.

Thanks for your time, and please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.

5/31/12Howdy!

The reason I am emailing you today is to try and spread the word that my office is trying to find a summer intern.  I remember back when I was in school, a few months ago, that you would send mass emails to your students telling them of employment opportunities that former students had emailed you about.  I hope much has not changed since then, and you have not stopped doing that as I am hoping to help my company out as well as a fellow Ag.  We have a lot business, even though we are a very small business, and we could really use the help and skills from another engineer.  (Especially an Aggie as I am the only one in the entire office.) Our firm is looking for a senior civil engineering student for a paid summer internship that could lead to full time employment after graduation. Preferably the candidate would graduate By August 2013. We would like someone who intends to focus on structural aspects of CE. Our firm is primarily residential one and two story wood frame construction with our primary focus as windstorm design and analysis, inspections and certification.

During this internship the candidate will become familiar with building codes (local and international), load analysis, general structural designs, windstorm specifications, reinforcement of autocad functions, & practical applications of structural concepts (beam and member sizing, shear and moment calculations).

Courses that would be beneficial to have completed are statics, dynamics and structures.  If the candidate is very proficient in using AutoCAD, that would be extremely beneficial.  Familiarity is the only requirement.  Concrete, Steel, or any Capstone design courses are a plus. No prior professional experience is required.

Please visit our website at www.aranfranklin.com for additional information on our firm. Interested candidates should contact me at the below email.  Please attach a current resume with DIRECT contact information and I will respond as quickly as possible to answer any direct inquiries, contact via phone, or set up an interview.

Thank you so much for your time, effort, and consideration.

From: Travis Baker [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, June 08, 2012 7:48 PMSubject: Civil Engineering Intern

Dr. Lowery,

My name is John Travis Baker and I am a civil grad from A&M (May 1997).  I worked for a few civil engineering firms in the Houston and Dallas areas, and started TAC Engineering in 2007 with my CPA wife who is also an A&M grad.

We have tried to keep the business small and work out of our residence, and it has been successful for the first few years.  However recently business has picked up significantly, and we need to find some help.

Do you have any students in mind that would be interested in a summer or fall internship with a very small civil engineering firm in the Woodlands area?  We specialize in site civil engineering and most of our clients are commercial, industrial, and retail developers.  While our projects might not be as glamorous as a large firm, the hands on experience that we can offer will be very beneficial to a student.

If you have any students in mind I would like to discuss the possibility of an internship.  I can forward you a more detailed job description and can give you references if you need.  (See below.)

Please let me know your thoughts, and thank you very much for your time.

J. Travis Baker, P.E.TAC Engineering, LLCP.O. Box 8436Spring, TX 77387281-660-0865

TAC Engineering, LLC is a 2 person civil engineering company located in the Woodlands, TX and would like to discuss an intern position with A&M Civil Engineering Students. The position is to assist the owner/engineer with day to day design and project management duties. Experience with Autocad and MS Office is preferred.

TAC Engineering is a civil engineering company that specializes in site development. Our projects vary from small paving additions to large office warehouse developments. Our clients range from small commercial businesses and homeowners, to multinational corporations such as Halliburton and Schlumberger. We typically work with a design team that includes architects, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural design firms.

Our projects are fast paced and usually involve quick design and permit schedules. This offers a large variety of project experience, and the student will be able to participate in many projects from concept to construction. Typical project tasks for the engineer and student would include:

Conceptual / Schematic Design Project / Site Research Coordination with Surveyors and Permitting Authorities Paving Design Site Grading

Detention Pond Design Floodplain Site Design Storm, Sanitary, and Water Design Drafting, Repro, and Deliveries Permitting General Office Duties

The student would work directly with a Texas P.E. on all phases of a project, and gain valuable experience.

Please contact me to discuss any interest in an intern position with our firm. I can offer references at your request, and am available at any time to discuss the position.

I look forward to hearing from you.

6/24/12Hi Dr. Lowery,

I hope this finds you enjoying your Friday afternoon!

The reason I am writing you is to pass on a bit of information to you for the students. First, if the news hasn't reached the soon-to-graduate students, West Texas is BOOMING! There are jobs in the area (less housing than jobs available, <3% unemployment), and if they have a personal connection to the area, even better! Personal connections go very far in

friendly west Texas. I'd be happy to start conversations as able. Also, I know Walter P. Moore is continuing to interview and hire for most positions in infrastructure, so if students need an internship now or a job soon, they should apply! I don't know how new graduates are faring from A&M in terms of landing jobs, but I know the national stats sound grim. I always try to pass on any information I have to help out!

As always, I am so grateful for the wonderful guidance and education I had while at A&M, and I'll be happy to provide more information to anyone interested.

Thanks Dr. Lowery! Have a wonderful weekend!

Gig'em!

Elizabeth A. OliverClass of '10

6/26/12Hello Dr. Lowery -

I hope you are doing well, and that the heat isn't getting to you at A&M. We are sweltering up here, especially our field techs on our construction jobs! I praise the man who invented A/C every day!

We are going to need a fall intern this year. We really enjoyed having our spring intern, Jonathan Fitzgerald, but he didn't get much meaningful field work due to the combination of the rains this spring and two of our major projects finishing up in February. We are sorry about that, because my husband was a co-op student “back in the day” when he was in college, and we really believe in the opportunities that internships and co-op experiences should provide. But there's not much we can do about the weather (because if there were, we would do it and our spring would not have been nearly as unprofitable!!!!).

However, we have two major projects scheduled for the fall that should offer an opportunity for a lot of onsite experience for an intern (weather willing). If you have any students (or recent graduates in engineering) who might be interested in a fall position, would you please pass this along? The intern job description can be found on our website, http://www.gmeconsult.com/career.html.

Thanks so much -

Marcia S. Kawalek, CEOGME Consulting Services, Inc.

P.S. Just FYI, when I do an exit interview with our interns, I always ask them if anything happened that they weren’t expecting or weren’t prepared for. They almost always say they were surprised by the problems or issues that arose on the project sites on a daily basis! I guess there is no substitute for on-the-job experience for opening their eyes to the “real” world!

Dear Dr. Kohutek,

I’m a former student (architecture) with an architecture & engineering firm in North Dakota.  http://www.lja-1.com/

We’re looking for a civil engineer and technician (EIT), as well as a surveyor.  I will be posting an ad on Hire Aggies, but I wanted to connect with one or some of the civil engineering staff at TAMU to see if they knew of a civil engineer former student looking for a position.  The position would be a general civil engineering and/or surveyor position, related to building construction, roads, and land development.

I also wanted to explore setting up an internship type of program (paid).  The office I am in is in Williston, in the oil fields area of North Dakota.  The position would either be for the Williston office, or the Fargo office (main office).  The civil engineers are in Fargo, but I would expect that the candidate could easily work in Williston and get direction from Fargo.

8/29/12Dr. Lowery,I wondered if you might be able to share this with your students and former students that might be in the job market.  We listed the ideal candidate as someone with an EIT and several years’ experience, however, we are also interested in folks with less experience including new graduates.

The real difficulty with this job is that there will not be lots of opportunity for design, but rather more review of other engineer’s designs - not always an area young engineers want to be in starting out.

Thanks for your help.

It can be emailed from the form itself, or to me directly at [email protected]. Qualified applicants only, please.

The perfect candidate would be at least a Senior level student who has previous intern experience in land development or with Capital Improvement work.   A large portion of their work will be involved with reviewing plat and construction plan submittals, checking/verifying drainage reports and perhaps some field inspection work involved with acceptance of roadways in land developments.

I have 900 hours budgeted for the fiscal year (10/1/12 to 9/30/13).  Salary and work hours would be somewhat negotiable.  Our work week is Monday – Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM and the candidate’s hours would need to fall within that timeframe.  The candidates will need to fill out the County Application as a minimum – and a resume would certainly be helpful (to the candidate and to me).  The position is open until filled.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

All,

I am one of your former students asking a favor – our company is looking for a Co-Op student for the January-August timeframe.  Do you have anyone you can recommend who possesses a strong background in structural dynamics (or a strong desire to learn)?

The work we typically do involves non-linear analysis, design, and experimental work (blast testing of structural and non-structural components).  The experimental work we do involves both performance testing and research for a variety of commercial, industrial, and government clients.  The student would be involved with both office and lab work, depending on their desires and our needs.

If you know or can recommend any interested students – have them send me their resume.

Thanks!  We appreciate your help, and hope you are all doing well.
