CIRCUMFERENCE-C=2(3.14)R

The circumference of a circle is the length around it. The circumference of a circle can be calculated from its diameter using the formula:Or, substituting the radius for the diameter:where r is the radius and d is the diameter of the circle, and π (the Greek letter pi) is defined as the ratio of the circumference of the circle to its diameter

SURFACE AREA

Surface area is the measure of how much exposed area a solid object has, expressed in square units. Mathematical description of the surface area is considerably more involved than the definition of arc length of a curve. For polyhedra (objects with flat polygonal faces) the surface area is the sum of the areas of its faces. Smooth surfaces, such as a sphere, are assigned surface area using their representation as parametric surfaces. This definition of the surface area is based on methods of infinitesimal calculus and involves partial derivatives and double integration.

VOLUME

Word Problem:

A cone is a three-dimensional shape that has 2 faces, 1 base, 1 vertex and 1 edge. The formula for the volume of a cone can be determined from the volume formula for a cylinder--in fact, you follow the exact same formula, and then you divide your answer by 3. You can calculate the volume of a cone using these simple steps

A student was observing a cone and wants to figure out how to find the volume of the cone

Answer:V=1/3Bh

PI 3.14

is a mathematical constant whose value is the ratio of any circle's circumference to its diameter in Euclidean space; this is the same value as the ratio of a circle's area to the square of its radius.

PYTHAGOREAN THEOREM

Pythagorean theorem or Pythagoras' theorem is a relation in Euclidean geometry among the three sides of a right triangle (right-angled triangle). In terms of areas, it states:In any right triangle, the area of the square whose side is the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of the areas of the squares whose sides are the two legs (the two sides that meet at a right angle).

SQUARE

P=4s In geometry, a square is a regular quadrilateral. This means that it has four equal sides and four equal angles (90 degree angles, or right angles).

PRISM

a prism is a transparent optical element with flat, polished surfaces that refract light. The exact angles between the surfaces depend on the application. The traditional geometrical shape is that of a triangular prism with a triangular base and rectangular sides, and in colloquial use "prism" usually refers to this type. S=PH+2B

A PYRAMID (FROM GREEK "ΠΥΡΑΜΊΣ" - PYRAMIS[1]) IS A STRUCTURE WHERE THE OUTER SURFACES ARE TRIANGULAR AND CONVERGE AT A POINT. THE BASE OF A PYRAMID CAN BE TRILATERAL, QUADRILATERAL, OR ANY POLYGON SHAPE, MEANING THAT A PYRAMID HAS AT LEAST THREE TRIANGULAR SURFACES (AT LEAST FOUR FACES INCLUDING THE BASE). S=1/2PL+B

CYLINDER S=2(3.14)RH+2(3.14)R2

A cylinder is one of the most basic curvilinear geometric shapes, the surface formed by the points at a fixed distance from a given line segment, the axis of the cylinder. The solid enclosed by this surface and by two planes perpendicular to the axis is also called a cylinder. The surface area and the volume of a cylinder have been known since deep antiquity.

CONE

A cone is a three-dimensional geometric shape that tapers smoothly from a flat, usually circular base to a point called the apex or vertex. More precisely, it is the solid figure bounded by a plane base and the surface (called the lateral surface) formed by the locus of all straight line segments joining the apex to the perimeter of the base.

SPHERE

A sphere (from Greek σφαῖρα—sphaira, "globe, ball") is a perfectly round geometrical object in three-dimensional space, such as the shape of a round ball. Like a circle in two dimensions, a perfect sphere is completely symmetrical around its center, with all points on the surface lying the same distance r from the center point.
