Thursday, November 30th; 8:45 – 9:30am; noon to 12:30pm; and during

Advent Family Fun Night, 6-7:30pm

Sunday, December 3rd during coffee hour, 10am – 10:30am

Monday, December 4th, 8:45am – 9:30am; noon to 12:30pm

Tuesday, December 5th, 8:45am – 9:30am; noon to 12:30pm; and after

the Christmas show, 6:30-7pm

Wednesday, December 6th, 8:45am – 9:30am; noon to 12:30pm; and

during Super Wednesday, 5-7pm

Shop for Christmas or birthday presents for your children

or grandchildren and help support our school. For every-

thing purchased, our school earns points to purchase

November Highlights

During the month of November, the students were busy showing and giving thanks. Bulletin

boards were filled with thankful messages, turkeys and fall colors. For our Thanksgiving chapel,

the children placed their food donations around the altar in the sanctuary. Prior to chapel,

each child was asked for what they were thankful. Their teacher wrote their thanks on a paper

leaf. The “thankful leaves” were given to Pastor Schul to read during chapel. After the Pastor’s

message and some singing, the children, their family members and the teachers were invited to

be blessed by the pastor. We thank all of you for helping fill the food bank during the holiday

season with your contributions.

Annual Christmas Program

Please join us for our school’s Annual

Christmas concert, “Merry, Merry Christ-

mas” on Tuesday, December 5th at 6:00

p.m. in the Sanctuary (snow date: 12/7/17).

Milk and cookies will be served following

the program in Harkins Hall.

Children should arrive in their respective

classrooms no later than 5:40 p.m.

Advent Family Fun

Night We will be kicking off the

Advent season to celebrate

the birth of Jesus with a free

pizza dinner and lots of fun

games and crafts, and holiday

fellowship.

Hall for dinner and then Mil-

ler Center for crafts.

Jr. Kindergarten visited the Kindergarten on

Monday, November 20th. They spent the morning

learning what it’s like to be a kindergarten student.

Holiday Gift Shopping ‘Tis the season to shop and we have a great way for

you to help Grace Lutheran Preschool and Kindergar-

ten’s tuition assistance program. We sell Weis,

Giant, RedLine Speed Shine and Sheetz gift cards

from the school office. To purchase any of these gift

cards, please stop in the school office Monday through

Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Enrichment Classes We have limited openings in our MWF, T/Th and M-

F Enrichment classes for 4.5 through kindergarten

and 3 through 4.5 year olds. If you are thinking about

adding an Enrichment class to your child’s day, please

stop in the office to learn more.

Toys for Tots

Grace Lutheran Preschool & Kindergarten will serve as a collection site for the Toys for Tots program

again this year. This impressive program provides toys for needy children in our area. If you would like to

donate a toy, please place your unwrapped gift in its original packaging in one of the collection boxes lo-

cated at the entrances to the school and in the Narthex through December 15th. If you would like to

make a cash donation, or would like to volunteer, go to http://marines.centreconnect.org for details.

Butter Braid Pastries and

Christmas Wreath Sale Thank you for supporting our school

through our annual Christmas Wreath Sale

and the very popular Butter Braids Pastries

fundraiser. We sold 177 wreaths. We

earned $1302 through the sale of Butter

Braids. The money raised will go toward tuition

assistance and unbudgeted expenses.

We celebrated Veterans Day with an assembly, a parade

and visits to Jr. K and Kindergarten classes.

Enrichment classes had the Bird Lady (Miss Tracy) in-

troduce Breathtaking Birds, the theme for November.

Both Mrs. Wylie and Miss Teri’s enrichment classes made

trees in their classrooms for the bird’s nests, bird houses,

eggs and birds that they made.
