Introduction
For many years PKI is successful in the development of GPS trackers. TheGlobal Positioning System covers the earth with its satellites and thus offers anexact position determination at any place of the earth. Its 24 satellites orbit theearth at an altitude of approx. 20.000 km. The analysis of the satellite’s signalpropagation delay to the GPS receiver allows the exact determination of theposition, subject to capturing at least 3 satellites simultaneously. In combination with a GSM mobile phone network it is easily possible to surveyvaluable items, vehicles and persons. With our experience we developedoptimized devices for any purpose and use, and thus we can offer a hugeproduct range of high quality products to our customers. As the reception ofGPS satellites is indispensable for the functioning of GPS trackers, it is not pos-sible to use them inside of buildings or tunnels. In this case it ispossible to effect the position determination via radio cell using a tracker withmobile phone connection. This method is not as exact as the GPS positiondetermination, but offers the advantage to be available anywhere, where mobilephone signals are received. In combination with data links via GSM network anaccelerated first determination of the position is possible, by loading the data ofthe GPS satellites into the receiver. This method is called AGPS and allows aquicker position determination, e.g. after an interruption of the connection. The operating time of the GPS trackers depends on the batteries used, as wellas on the rate of the frequency of the position data transmission. Due to theintelligent energy management of the PKI trackers as well as their newestbattery technology, stand-by periods have been optimized. The use of additionalsensors such as motion sensors and temperature sensors substantially enlargethe activity range. It is also possible to use the devices with the power supply ofa car which has the advantage of unlimited operating time. The connection withmobile phone networks allows a permanent surveillance of the devices and eventhe use of an integrated microphone. We would be pleased to assist ourcustomers in the choice of the adequate SIM card. Especially the use acrossborders requires the consideration of some important details. All stored positiondata can be processed further for use at a later time or used in real-time.The display of the position on maps is part of the standard. Additionally it ispossible to include distance and speed into the data evaluation. Don’t hesitate tocontact us with your specific requirements, and we will develop a tailor madeconcept for you.

PKI 1945
The PKI 1945 tracking tag is a mini GSM trackingtransmitter for the detection of lost or stolenitems. The PKI 1945 GSM module is combinedwith a remote controlled tracking transmitter anda loud audio signal generator. Its standard modeis the sleep mode, which is interrupted withinadjustable intervals for the receipt of instructionsvia SMS. If it is activated by a specific SMS, itcaptures all information data from GPS and thesurrounding GSM radio cells and transmits themto a server. This captured data allow the exactdetermination of its position depending ontopographic conditions, with an accuracy of upto two meters. Once at the determined place, acontrol command can activate the integratedtracking transmitter. The transmitter emits arange of sounds in three graduated transmissionpowers. This allows further exact determinationof its position. If the transmission signal isreceived without interruption, a directionalantenna must be used. The exact frequency canbe adjusted via SMS in order to avoid problemswith busy frequencies. If the PKI 1945 still isuntraceable, it is possible to activate the signaltransmitter with a further control command, inorder to obtain an acoustic signal, which allowslocating of persons within crowds, for example. The sleep mode in combination with Lithiumbatteries provide an extremely long operatingtime.
