W.E.F. 01.01.2006- REGARDING

1. Reference this HQrs letter F. No. 3524/NFS/DGAQA/Adm-1 dated13 May 2020 and letter of even number dated 21 May 2020.

2. In pursuance of SI. No. 11(2)of Section II of Part B of the First Schedule ofthe Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2008 and with concurrence ofM/o Finance, Deptt. of Expenditure, the sanction for grant of Level-9 in the PayMatrix (pre-revised Grade Pay of Rs.5400 in Pay Band-2) on non-functional basis toJunior Scientific Officers, Group 'B' Gazetted in DGAQA on completion of four yearscontinuous service in the Grade Pay of Rs.4800 w.e.f. 01.01.2006 was issued videGol, MoD/DDP letter No. 3524/NFS/DGAQAIAdm-1 dated 13th May 2020.

3. After examining the cases of the eligible officers in the grade of JuniorScientific Officer in DGAQA w.e.f. 1.1.2006, the Competent Authority has accordedapproval for grant of Level-9 in the Pay Matrix (pre-revised Grade Pay of Rs.5400 inPay Band-2) on non-functional basis to 81 officers from the date indicated againsttheir names in the Appendix-I.

4. As per DoP&T guidelines, grant of NFS to Level-9 (pre-revised G.P.Rs.5400, PB-2) will be an offset against a financial upgradation for the purpose ofACPS/MACPS. Accordingly, consequent upon grant of NFS to Level-9 (G.P.Rs.5400), the 2nd/3rd financial upgradation granted under MACPS to the officerslisted in Appendix-II shall stand withdrawn.

5. The fixation of pay in respect of the above employees may be regulated asper the CDS(RP) Rules, 2008 and CDS(RP) Rules, 2016, as the case may be.
