Persons drafting any kind of notices are strongly advised tofollow the guidance offered in—

(a) the Instructions Relating to the Drafting and Typing ofLegislation (Attorney-General’s Circular 1 of 1978); and

(b) the Manual of Style for the Drafting and Preparation of copypublished by Printflow (Private) Limited;

which two booklets are intended for complementary use.

In these conditions, other than where a particular kind of copy isspecified, “copy” means copy for all matter contamed in the Gazetteitselfand forsubsidiary legislationissued as supplements to the Gazette.

1. (1) Other than by prior arrangements, only original typingis accepted.

(2) Carbon-copies are not normally acceptable, other than incases wherethe original typing has to be legallyretained, elsewhere,as, for example, in the case of a proclamation.

5. (1) Should any copy—

(a) exceed 10 pages of double-spaced typing on size A4paper; or

(b) contain tabular or other matter which involvescomplicated setting; it will be classed as “lengthy” copy,and will be required to be submitted not less than 21days before the date ofclosing for the Gazette in whichit is to be published.

(2) Lengthy copy may be accepted at less than 21 days’notice if—

(@) the workinvolvedis ofastraightforwardandnon-tabularnature; and

(b) the total volume of work on hand for the time beingpermits its acceptance.

6. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in theseconditions, any copy—

(a) which is of national importance, and which isoriginated as a matter of urgent necessity, may,bypriorarrangement, beaccepted lateforthe currentweek,

If printed formsforany such notices are unavailable, advertisers must prepare theirown forms. While it is not necessary to include the preamble, thebox-headings must be there, and, where applicable, the number ofthe form; for example, “Insolvency Reguiations—Form 3”.

(2) In the case of copy for tabular notices, the provision ofsubsection (2) of section 3 does not apply.

9. Copyforall advertisements, whether sent by post or deliveredby hand, must be accompanied by a requisition or a letter which
