Applications in prescribed form are invited from the willing Lawyers/RetiredLaw Officers/Retired Judicial Officers for engagement of 1 (one) Law Officer(unreserved) under Education (School) Department on Contract Basis of Rs.48, 600/-per month for full time work. The candidate should have Bachelors Degree in Law(LLB) from a recognized University with at least 5 (five) years experience as legalpractitioner in Court of law or experience of 5 years legal work profile in any of thedepartment of Central/State Government /PSU etc. or having held post of Judge at anylevel or member of Judicial Service. The candidates should not be less than 35 years ofage and not more than 65 years of age as on 1st January 2020. The last date ofsubmission of application in prescribed form (Annexure-I) to the Directorate ofSecondary Education, (Legal Affairs Section), Shiksha Bhawan, 2nd Floor, Office Lane,Agartala, West Tripura, 799001 is 31st May, 2020.

The terms & conditions and method of selection are given below :-

1. The eligible candidates will have to appear in the Interview before a SelectionCommittee. Selection will be made through Interview.

2. The candidates must have the experience in the field of -(a) Drafting & scrutinizing of para-wise comments, affidavits, deeds,

a~reements, contracts, rendering legal opinion on service matters anddisciplinary proceedings.(b) During the period of engagement as Law Officer of the Education

(School) Department, no private legal case is taken up by the law officeragainst the Education Department, Government of Tripura or its constituentbodies.

3. The engagement will be for 1 (one) year and may be extended depending onperformance appraisal. It will not confer any right to continuation for furtherperiod/ permanent appointment.

4. The engagement may be discontinued at any time by giving 1 (one) month noticefrom either side.

5. The engagement may also be discontinued at any time if any kind of discrepancyis found in the documents/ certificates of the candidates.
