Your first task is to manage canteen operations.
There is a problem.
It is observed that the Malay Stall is way popular than the rest of the
stalls.
As a result, there are extremely long queues.
• Students end up late for classes• Students do not get to eat• Long queues are causing huge jams in
the canteen
What would you do?
(your only constraint is that you cannot lengthen the recess time)
Your goals:
• Reduce the long queues• Ensure the queues do not cause jams in
the canteen• Encourage students to buy from other
stalls• Ensure that all students get to eat

Possible solutions
• Increase the price of the food sold at the Malay Stall (since there is such a high demand for it)
• Increase the quality of food sold in the other stalls in the canteen
• Decrease the price of food sold in the other stalls• Put a quota on the number of people that can buy
from the Malay stall • Increase the number of helpers at the Malay stall• Reorganize the canteen such that there is more
