Main gender topics in Finland
Common thinking is that everything is OK …
… women have the same opportunities as men in business life
… if there are problems, they are caused by the system – nothing we can influence
… we might have an issue in attitudes, also among us women!

Main gender topics in FinlandEqual pay
The main reason for the gender pay gap is in general the under evaluation of women’s work:•There is a strong segregation of branches to predominantly female (having women as majority) and predominantly male branches
– And the former are much less paid – working with people is regarded less valuable than working with machines
•Women also can get less salary than men for exactly the same work
