BALSAMEA 'PICCOLO'- This low grower is more horizontal growing than vertical. Was found in Germany. This plant has deep green curled needles. A. KOREANA 'SILBERPERLE'- is a conical small growing form of the Korean fir. The growth will be 1”-2” per year and will eventually get to 18” tall. A. BUERGERANIUM 'MIYASAMA-YATSUBUSA'- is a very slow grower to perhaps 6'-8'x3' in many years. The leaves are deep shiny green all summer and are very tightly packed creating a full dense canopy. A. CIRCINATUM 'SUNGLOW'- Has lovely yellow orange foliage eventually turning light green. Great yellow fall color. 1 gal. $ 60.00 A. GRISEUM - Paperbark Maple - Perhaps the finest and most beautiful of all small trees. Leaves are trifoliate, beautifully colored with brilliant splashes of gold and red for autumn. The bark splits and peels to reveal a coppery smooth under surface. It is rather slow growing and just becomes more elegant with age. Native to China. JAPONICUM 'FAIRY LIGHTS'- Has cut leaves similar to A. japonicum 'Aconitifolium' (fernleaf maple) but they are much more cut. A. PALMATUM 'ALPINE DWARF'- Has a rich red growth in spring. This shrubby small 5'x5' shrub will have color in spring and in fall will turn brilliant red. 1 gal. $ 65.00

A. PALMATUM 'AMAGI SHIGURE'- is a 15' Japanese maple with deep purple leaves with red purple veins. The leaves in spring are as if the plant is blooming. 1 gal. $ 65.00 A. PALMATUM 'BENI HIME'- Difficult to propagate and slow. So rarely offered. Very dwarf with rosy purple new growth. 2 gal. $ 75.00 A. PALMATUM 'BENI KAWA'- This maple is similar looking to A. pal. ACER PALMATUM DISSECTUM 'RED FEATHERS'- Said to be a laceleaft maple with extremely fine textured purple leaves. ACER PALMATUM 'RED SABER'- is an upright growing maple that will get 15'-20' in time but is narrow for the

A. PALMATUM 'WHITE PEACHES'- Has white new growth with veins turning green as the season progresses. Similar to A. pal. 'Peaches and Cream' but even whiter growth. Needs afternoon shade. 1 gal. $ 60.00 A. PALMATUM 'WINTER GOLD'- Has bright golden winter stems making a vibrant little tree all winter. The plant has pink highlights on its new growth and is an upright tree to perhaps 20 ft. 1 gal. $ 55.00

A. PICTUM 'NIGIRI NISHIKI'- The Bat Wing maple has white leaves with some green spotting on them. The leaves really do look like bat wings. Limited, Extra shipping 2 gal. $ 110.00 A. PLATANOIDES 'REZAK'- is a columnar dwarf maple. From seedlings used for understock for Norway maples. A. p.. 'Rezak' is a genetic dwarf that occurs occasionally in seedlings. Our original plant is 12'x1.5 ' after 30 years. The growth is perhaps 1”-2” per year. Very slow and difficult to propagate. Hence the price. 1 gal. $ 75.00 A. PSEUDOPLATANUS 'ESK SUNSET'- (formerly A. 'Eskimo Sunset') - This moderate 20' tree has simply stunning foliage. The maple leaves are dark purple underneath and are deep green splashed with white and pink above. In the sun the leaves absolutely glow with the purple and pink. An A. 'Esk Sunset' is always a conversation piece. 1 gal. $ 60.00 Extra shipping 2 gal. $ 75.00 A. SHIRASAWANUM 'AUREUM'- Golden Full Moon maple. We have sold this glorious small tree for 40 years. A. SHIRASAWANUM 'MOONRISE'- Looks like A. shir. 'Aureum' but has peachy colored new growth in spring and early summer. Fall color is orange-red. Extra shipping 3 gal. $ 90.00 A. SHIRASAWANUM 'SUNNY'- An excellent variety for all summer. It has a bright golden color. Needs afternoon shade, but holds color well. This plant comes from Crispin Silva and is one of the many wonderful plants he has introduced 1 gal. $ 60.00 ACTEA A. 'BRUNETTE'- Has deep purple leaves that will get 18” x 18” during summer. In late August, thin stems tower to 4'-5' with fluffy upright flower stalks. The fragrance of the flowers is very nice. 1 gal. $ 20.00

A. 'CHOCOHOLIC'- This bugbane has brownish purple foliage all summer. As typical of the purple foliaged bugbanes, this plant has pinkish flowers in late summer. 1 gal. $ 20.00 A. 'HILLSIDE BLACK BEAUTY'- This perennial has deep purple foliage to 18” tall all summer. In August, the flowering stems will grow to 60” tall and look like a pinkish/white candelabra. Very fragrant flowers. 1 gal. $ 20.00 A. 'PINK SPIRE'- This bugbane has dark purple foliage to 18” all summer. Late summer, the flowering stems will grow to 4' with pink sweetly scented flowers.

'POLAR ICE'- is a lower growing agapanthus. The 12”-16” stems carry pure white flowers in August. All the agapanthus we grow will die down in late fall, but are hardy and will reappear in spring. 1 gal. $ 20.00 A. 'STORM CLOUD'- This agapanthus has rich blue flowers in July-August. Our plants have survived 0°F. A. 'Storm Cloud' is deciduous, so completely disappears in winter. A. 'JC RAULSTON'- Said to be one of the hardiest of the agaves. JC Raulston discovered this blue gray leafed plant in California many years ago. The leaves are very broad and form a beautiful crown. 1 gal. $ 25.00

A. VICTORIAE-REGINAE 'PORCUPINE'- This small grower is very attractive year round. The deep green leaves have a slight white margin. We keep our agaves in terra cotta pots under an east facing eave. If it gets below 15° we move them to an unheated garage. 1 gal. $ 25.00 AMSONIA A. HUBRECHTII- is a Native American wildflower. In spring, the 18” plant is covered with small blue flowers. The needle -shaped leaves are attractive green all summer. In fall, the foliage turns beautiful golden tones. 1 gal. $ 20.00 A. 'BLUE ICE'- This selection of an American native will get 12” and have beautiful sky blue flowers in early summer. 1 gal. $ 20.00 ARAUCARIA A. ARAUCANA- Monkey puzzle tree. This southern Chilean conifer has the hardest sharpest needles imaginable. You will either like this plant or really not like it. A. 'PERKEO'- is a 6”astilbe with deep green leaves and rich pink narrow flowers in May-June. 1 gal. $ 15.00

ASTILBOIDES TABULARIS- Was Rogersia tabularis. The leaves can get 12” across in summer. These tropical looking plants can survive well below 0°. Needs afternoon shade and will grow with ferns, hostas, etc. The flowers are white and can get to 18”stalks. 2 gal. $ 30.00 AUCUBA A. HIMALAICA- is a deep, green narrow foliaged aucuba. The leaves are 6” long and 1” wide on a 6' plant. This evergreen shrub is one of “the” plants for dry, deep shade. 1 gal. $ 22.00

A. JAPONICA VARIEGATA- Has deep green leaves with large splotches of golden yellow. This tough evergreen shrub can survive without summer water (after established). The foliage will brighten up deep shade. 1 gal. $ 25.00 A. 'ROZANNIE'- This evergreen shrub is the plant for that dark spot in your garden. Aucuba 'Rozannie' has glossy dark green foliage. R. MOYESII 'GERANIUM'- When I went to Sissinghurst in 1989, this stunner was in full glory with its 3” hips in September. The plant was in the purple pink border and was such a showstopper.
