Prosperity Theology

• emphasis is on God's promised generosity in this life and the ability of believers to claim it for themselves

• suggests that a God who loves you does not want you to be broke

John 10: 10: "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."

Malachi 3:10 - "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,' says the LORD of hosts, 'if I

will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows".

Matthew 25:14-30 - The Parable of the talents esp. “For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have,

even what they have will be taken from them.”
